RHP Bryce Legel (Wheaton Academy, 2025) has a strong, durable frame at 6-foot-1, 192-pounds and produced one of the better fastball velocities on the day. He has a drop/drive delivery with a tall balance point, working with some clear intent throughout his delivery into a high ¾ release. His fastball played in the 84-86 mph range with life out of the hand and carry up in the zone. He showed the ability to land his curveball for strikes, playing with 11/5 shape at 68-69 mph. His final offering was a changeup at 80-83 mph, thrown with intent and playing with over 14” of run at times.
Positional Profile: RHP
Body: 6-1, 192-pounds. Tall, high-waisted, some strength throughout the frame.
Delivery: Drop and drive delivery with a tall balance point. Works with intent.
Arm Action: RH. Long and loose arm action, works from a high 3/4 release.
FB: T86, 84-86 mph. Life out of the hand, plays with carry up in the zone. T2120, 2088 average rpm.
CB: 68-70 mph. Gradual 11/5 shape, has feel for the zone. T2164, 2080 average rpm.
CH: 81-83 mph. Plays with arm-side action, developing feel for the zone. T2142, 1805 average rpm.
Positional Profile: 3B
Hit: RHH. Balanced, athletic setup, knee-knocks into a long stride. Level bat path that works uphill, opposite field approach. 70.1 mph bat speed with 11 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 90 max exit velocity, averaged 77.9 mph. 308’ max distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 86 mph. Short, quick arm action, 3/4 slot.
Defense: Gets around ball well, plays low to the ground, actiony, deep two hand gather.
Run: 8.00 runner in the 60.
