Perez has continued to show well throughout the entire weekend. He stands in a strong and athletic 5-foot-9, 175-pound frame. A right-handed hitter, Perez showed a gap-to-gap approach with a slightly uphill path, and in Sunday’s afternoon game, he tallied two doubles. In his first at-bat he legged out a double on a ground ball up the middle, and later doubled on a ball to the deep right-center gap. He’s an athletic mover in the outfield, too, with a quality arm to pair. Perez is a name-to-follow in Illinois’ 2026 class.
