Position: LHP/OF
Body: 6-foot-1, 175-pound long frame.
Pitching: Confident. Drop-and-drive delivery, some effort. ¾ arm angle, good arm speed, short compact arm action. Lands closed, recoil finish.
FB: 88-89 mph. (Max spin 2327; Avg 2249). Running action, heavy movement.
CB: 75-76 mph. Slurvey action, sharp 10/4 movement. (Max spin 2302; Avg 2253).
CH: 77-79 mph.
Tall, narrow waisted with lean features, room to fill out his athletic frame. Started from the middle of rubber, has a short step forward before squaring up his delivery to plate load. Mid-chest separation to a ¾-arm slot that is compact. Hides ball well and comes out of his left ear with release for deception. Methodical calm tempo and rhythm to pitch. Small glove tuck in front with slightly stiff front side at times. FB has some run and sink while his changeup showed late fade. CB from the release point was a slider acting pitch that he at times would scale and surround his arm action and flatten out. His style is pitch by command and accuracy. Hershberger looks durable and competitive. When he keeps ball down in zone will have high percentage chance to get outs.

Alec Hershberger: LHP/OF, (2023) Clinton Christian School, IN. 6-foot, 160-pound lean frame. In the box, the left-handed hitter clocked an exit velocity of 75 mph. Track Man Exit Velo 68.60. Begins in a balanced stance with a tight quick load, then uses a quick stride just before his swing. Uphill swing plane. From the outfield, he displayed a position velocity of 80 mph; showed consistent hands. Showed a long arm action with a high ¾ slot. During the event, recorded a 60 time of 7.38. On the mound, sat with his fastball at 78-80 mph and topped out at 81 mph. Curveball (64-69 mph), changeup (66-67 mph).
