Homestead High School, Class of 2022; 5-foot-11, 162-pound C/OF. At the plate, the switch hitter had an exit velocity of 80 mph. Starts in an open, balanced stance with his bat flat behind his head; raises his hands high in his load. Has a line drive swing plane and a high, two-handed finish. From the outfield, he showed the ability to throw at velocities up to 74 mph. Behind the plate, he had a pop time of 2.08 and recorded a position velocity of 73 mph during throw downs. Starts in a wide stance; showed a quick and clean transfer; has a short and quick arm action. His throws were consistently accurate. In the 60-yard dash, his time was 7.71. Had a good day all-around. Showed knowledge of the game and the will to improve.
Homestead High School, Class of 2022 5-foot-11, 162-pound C / OF. During battingpractice, he had a max exit velocity of 78 mph. Starts with a slight bend in his knees and his bat on hisshoulder; raises his hands to start his load and has a line drive swing plane. Ends his swing with a hightwo-handed finish. Behind the plate starts with the wide base; has good clean transfer, short arm action,and feet were consistent. While catching, his pop time was registered at 2.12; his most efficient throwto second came in at 72 mph. In the 60-yard dash, he recorded a time of 7.72.
7/10/18: 2022 switching hitting OF/C. Showed same approach from both sides of the plate. Used opposite field in BP well. Left side swing showed uphill bat path through the zone, while right side was more level throughout. Posted an exit velo of 71 from the right and 70 from left. In the OF showed good footwork playing through the baseball with a clean exchange. Arm strength from OF was average at 72. Behind the dish showed average strength at 69 with a quick exchange. Pops ranged from 2.09- 2.18
