2/16/2019: Cole Gilley, RHP/3B, Columbus East HS, 2020, 6 foot 1, 205 pounds, is a strong bodied right hander who throws from a high ¾ slot with long arm action. FB was straight and sat 88-90, CH has fade life and sat 77-79, CB sat 74-75 with nice downward bite. A definite follow for people to watch this spring and summer.

2/24/18:  6-foot-1, 203 pound pitcher continues to showcase his pitch ability on the mound.  Has feel for the zone in his 3 pitch mix.  Fastball sat 83-85 with slight run.  Breaking ball has late depth in an 11/5 shape.  Change-up has arm side fade.  Has good tempo and pace down the mound.  Stays connected with a drop and drive delivery.  Clean, high 3/4 arm action.  Indiana recruit.

8/2/17: Gilley is a physical 6-foot-1, 203-pound right-hander with a fastball up to 86. He works at a quick pace with some rhythm and a drop-and-drive delivery. He works across his body and through a clean, high-3/4 arm slot with quickness. The curveball, one of the top pitches in the class, is a big, tight 12/6 breaking ball with depth at 68-72.

2/25/17: 6-foot-1, 190 pounds. Offensively, athletic setup, smooth load, small leg kick timing trigger, over rotation with the lower half.  Fast bat speed for his age, gets to extension, pull-side hitter with power potential.  Overall good approach at the plate.  Registered a high exit velocity of 90 mph. Defensively, showcased above average glove work with fluid feet, clean exchange.  Plays through the baseball.  Loose, short high ¾ arm action across the diamond, throws topped at 84 mph with carry.  Ran a 7.84 in the laser-timed 60 yard dash.
