True Freshman. Lean and projectable 6-foot-3, 180-pound frame. The right-hander displayed an innate feel to spin all his pitches, starting with his fastball that sat in the 86-88 mph range (2300-2500 RPM), playing with up to 16” of run at times. His slider spun between 2600-2700 RPM, playing with sharp 10/4 action at 73-78 mph. Lopez also went to a changeup, though killing spin on this offering, 75-79 mph with slight arm-side run.
