2/16/2019: Jackson Taylor, SS/2B, Yorktown HS, 2020, 5 foot 10, 155 pounds, ran a 6.82, threw 80 mph across the infield, and had an exit velocity of 78 mph. Uses controlled leg lift to load from a balanced set up on the left side. Gets on plane and stays on plane through his swing, balanced throughout. Defensively, was light on his feet and showed multiple releases and arm angles. Profiles more as a 2B at the next level and is committed to Indiana State.
6/12/18: 2020 left handed hitting MIF out of Yorktown. Good approach in box, showed quick whippy bat that profiles as top of the order type. Bat path was level and long through the zone creating good on plane. In the field showed good actions, soft hands good footwork and clean exchange. Arm strength is average across the diamond.
2/24/18: 5-foot-10, 155 pound left-handed hitting infielder has a smooth load with above average bat speed. Long, level bat path. Line drive approach. Fluid rhythm. Balanced swing. High exit velocity of 79. Defensively, he has some bounce to his step with funnel glove work. Long exchange, high 3/4 slot. Throws topped 82 across the infield. Ran a 7.18 60 yard dash.
