6-foot-3, 185-pound LHP. Starts from the stretch; hides the ball well; uses his fluid motion and athletic ability to generate power; stays on top of the ball. Has a long arm action on FB; 80-82 mph FB; CB has great depth; 66-70 mph CB; CH has movement and control on both sides of the plate; throws CH for strike in any count; 70-73 mph CH. Keeps runners at bay at first base; shows confidence on the mound; keeps hitters off-balance. A projectable, left-handed pitcher.

6/12/18: 2020 LHP with projection. Simple delivery and repeats well. Pitches from ¾ slot and tended to be across body. Arm stroke is short and quick in delivery. Creates angle to the plate from that arm slot. FB showed ASR at times at 80-82 to the right side of the plate. Tended to slow arm down on secondary. Flashed 1/7 shape CB for strikes at 67-68.

4/4/18 Spring Scout Blog:  Sophomore lefty got the start on the mound on a frigid night, competed and threw 3 innings, picked up the win giving up only 2 ER, striking out 4 and only allowing 2 hits. Projectable 6-foot-2 frame, long limbed lefthander throws from high 3/4 arm slot, difficult on LH hitters, long arm action, throws with average arm speed. Front side spins with tall finish, struggles to get through front side. Fastball was 79-80, consistently arm side with small run. Breaking ball was 64-67, average pitch with gradual break 2/7 break into the strike zone. Threw a couple good changeups, arm side fade away from RH bats, chance to be a good pitch. Stiff leg lift read move with runner at 1st, ability to hold runners.

2/25/18: Tall, long limbed and loose lefthander, pitches from high ¾ arm slot with average arm speed, long arm action with slight stab in the back. More velo since we last saw in the fall, looks to throw harder in future. East tall to fall delivery with some effort, front side spins and rushes to finish at times, small recoil. Shoulders work uphill, create some natural arm side run and deception. Fastball topped 79, sat 76-77, mostly arm side with natural arm side run. Curveball was thrown 66-68, buried down in zone for out pitch. Slider has sweeping side action, thrown a tick harder 68-69. Changeup was 66-67. Projectable frame.

10/14/17: 6-foot-1, 175 pound sophomore left-handed pitcher throws with easy effort down the mound, inward turn with leg kick out in delivery, landing slightly closed and soft on front side. Spins and works around front leg to finish tall, falling third base side. Arm gets long and drags at ¾ arm slot, average arm speed. Fastball sat 75-76, topped 77 with slight run arm side, in and around the strike zone. Gradual 2/8 break on the breaking ball, sweeping at 67-70. Changeup was thrown with slower arm speed at 68-69 and fade.

6/13/17:  6-foot, 170 pound left-handed pitcher sat 72-74, touching 75 with the fastball.  Pitches from a 3/4 slot with regular effort.  Rotates around lower half.  Stride leg swings out.  Breaking ball has gradual, early break with 1/7 shape.  Room to fill in physically, some mechanics will need refined.

6/7/17: Pitches from a long, 3/4 arm action with a slight stab.  Average arm speed.  Shows some effort in the delivery, tall/fall delivery.  Smooth rhythm, uphill shoulders, stays in line, lands square, finishes upright.  Fastball showed run at 75-76 T77.  Breaking ball has 2/8 shape at 66-70.  Changeup flashes ASR and fade at 68-69.
