Body: 6-foot-4, 210-pound mature frame
Hit: Starts in a balanced tall stance with a controlled slow load, then uses a small leg kick. Above average bat speed. High finish, upward swing.
Power: 94 mph exit velocity. gap to gap approach.
Defense: Infield, Sure hands, developing footwork, developing exchange. Raw.
Arm: 83 Infield velocity. Long arm action, an-over-the-top slot, consistent accuracy.
Speed: 7.70
Pitching: Raw. Tall-and-fall delivery, some effort. Over-the-top arm angle, consistent arm speed, long arm action. Tall balance point, even shoulders, lands soft, an upright finish.
FB: T85. 84-85 mph. Cutting action, in the zone accuracy, straight movement.
CB: 72-73 mph. Sinking action, occasional control, 12/6 movement.
CH: 75-76 mph. Tailing action, arm side control, straight movement.
Western High School, Class of 2022; 6-foot-4, 210-pound RHP/1B. At the plate, the right-handed hitter’s 91 mph exit velocity showed his ability to drive the ball with power. He has a slightly open, balanced stance with his hands even with his shoulders. Uses a leg kick but already has present power. Uses a level swing plane, stays balanced throughout and ends his swing with high one-handed finish. Stays inside the ball well; shows next level ability at the plate. In the infield, his position velocity was registered at 78 mph. Shows good hands in the field; moves well to the ball, has a clean arm action and accurate throws. From the outfield, he made throws at velocities up to 82 mph. During the event, he clocked a 60 time of 7.65. On the mound, he uses a slow delivery with a short, quick arm action. He has a live arm and showcased power in his lower half. Breaking ball had good action low in the zone. He overpowered hitters with his fastball and froze hitters with his off speed. His fastball came in at 82-84 mph with a max of 85 mph. He threw his curveball with consistency at 63-66 mph.
