Setup includes a big load and balanced stance. Ended his swing with good extension on his finish. A line drive approach. While in the infield, recorded position velocities up to 81 mph; natural exchange. Showed a loose arm action on his throws. Clocked a 60 time of 8.11 at the event. On the mound, used a high ¾ arm angle and a short arm action. Slow temp type pitcher and uses some effort. Produced a fastball that came in at 83-85 mph with a max of 85 mph; shows low in the zone command and running action. His changeup (76-79) showed tailing action. 2/23/2019: Sam Reed, LHP/1B, Brebeuf HS, 2022, 6 foot, 165 pounds, throws from a mid ¾ slot and long arm action. Fastball had ASR and sat 76-80, CB sat 59-63 and was loopy, CH had some arm side fade and sat 70-71. Sam recorded an exit velo of 78 mph using good rhythm and a good separation.
