2/21/16 - Funk is a right-handed pitcher that attends Lawrence Free State HS in Kansas. Class of 2017. Projectable 6-foot-5, 201-pound frame. Tall, projectable right-hander. Up-tempo delivery, works to a tall balance point. Works uphill a bit and strides slightly open resulting in falling off to the first-base side. Fastball with running action, 82-86 mph. Breaking Ball with 11/5 shape, at times sharp, 70-75 mph. Change-up 78-79 mph. Needs to iron some things out, but when he does he could rapidly move into the upper tier of class of 2017 right-handed pitching prospects in the MO-KAN area very rapidly.

8/1/15 - Funk is a 6-foot-5 185-pound right-handed pitcher.  Funk threw an 82-85 mph fastball from a conventional over-the-top release.  He has a controlled, repeatable delivery and his lean frame and loose arm action would suggest an increase in both velocity and movement as he matures.  He throws a late breaking 12-to-6 curveball at 75 mph and a change-up with arm side sink at 74-76 mph. 

6/2/15 - Aaron is a 6'4' 185-pound right handed pitcher from Lawrence Free State. Quick arm and a high 3/4 slot with loose long action. Gets down the mound landing somewhat open but a mostly athletic finish. Good life to his fastball with a max of 85 mph and a 72 mph breaking ball at times is 11/5 and spins well. 

10/26/14 - Funk is 6-foot-4, 182-pound right-handed pitcher. Fastball clocked in the 83-85 mph range and up to 87 mph. Also throws a 72-73 mph breaking ball with 11/5 shape and a 77-78 mph change-up. Easy arm, high three-quarters slot. Tall, projectable right-hander in the Kansas class of 2017.
