Athletic 6-foot, 165-pound frame. The right-handed hitter sets up in a slight open, balanced stance with some rhythm in his hands. Hand load and short stride into a quick, level bat path. Hard line-drives to all fields with feel for the barrel. Shows some hand speed, 83 mph bat-exit velocity. Ran a 7.19 60-yard dash. In the infield, displays clean footwork and glove to field, making 76 mph throws from a long high-¾ arm action with some accuracy.

Steinbacher is a 6-foot 155-pound right-handed hitting shortstop and right-handed pitcher in Kansas' 2022 class.  He ran a 7.54 60, and a 4.75 home to first.  He has an 81 mph exit velocity. At the plate, starts slightly ope in a tall stance, hands walk away from in line stride, aggressive swing speed, middle of the field approach.  On the infield, high three quarters arm slot, long arm circle, fluid footwork with clean exchange, 74 mph positional velocity, projection in build. On the mound, Steinbacher has a controlled leg lift, in line stride, throws with regular effort and quick tempo after hand separation, over the top release, fastball at 72-74 mph, bottom of the zone, breaking ball has gradual 12-to-6 shape, 55-57 mph, throws change up at 63-65 mph, near fastball arm speed,.

6/19/18 - Steinbacher is a 6-foot, 160-pound right-handed hitting middle infielder and right-handed pitcher in Kansas’ 2022 class. He posted a 79 mph exit velocity and ran a 4.81 home-to-first. During batting practice, Steinback starts with an upright and open stance, good rhythm into his load with an abbreviated leg lift, sets up middle of the box and extension through the baseball. Defensively, he works through the baseball, low ¾ arm slot, positional velo of 70 mph with accurate throws. On the mound, Steinbacher has some rhythm to his delivery, works downhill, long arm, ¾ arm slot, fastball is 68-71 with occasional arm side run, changeup is 61-66 mph with similar type movement as the fastball, and curveball has 10-to-4 shape, gradual bite, 56-57 mph.
