English is a 6-foot-2 210-pound right-handed hitting catcher in Kansas’ 2020 class, a Kansas commit.  He ran a 7.07 60 and 4.83 home to first.  He had a 93 mph exit velocity. At the plate, tall set up, works into an athletic position with in line stride, smooth acceleration, strong hands with quick bat speed, power to pull side, gap to gap approach, feel for the barrel.  Behind the plate, pop times between 1.91 and 1.98 seconds, 74 mph positional velocity, stays under control with clean exchanges as he replaces his feet, short over the top arm slot, throws are accurate with carry to the bag.
