Stays balanced and athletic in the box with a short stride and good bat speed and works the middle of the field in BP with a exit velo of 86 mph.

8/17/14 - DeLaTorre is a 6-foot-1, 175-pound left-hand hitting middle infielder.  Balanced set-up at the plate, closed stance, shifts weight back pre-stride, strides closed, smooth hand load, loose hands, some bat speed, slightly uphill bat path, middle of the field approach, extension through the baseball, maintains balance throughout, 83 mph exit velocity.  4.62 home to first base, 7.33 60-yard dash.  In the infield showed fluid footwork, clean exchanges, short three-quarters arm slot, 71 mph throwing velocity, accurate throws.  Left-hand hitting class of 2016 infielder to follow.
