Bush is a long and lean 6-foot-2 185-pound right-handed hitting catcher and shortstop in Kansas’ 2021 class.  He ran a 7.20 60 and a 4.83 home to first.  He had an 87 mph exit velocity.  At the plate, tall and square set up, slight hand movement for rhythm, starts slightly open and strides slightly closed, loose hands generate quick bat whip, level through the zone, gap to gap line drives during hitting evals.  Behind the plate, sets up with a square base just prior to pitch release, quick catch and throw, transfer on time with footwork, short over the top arm slot, strong throws, some with carry, somewhat accurate, 77 mph positional velocity, 1.95 to 2.09 pop times, projectable build with room to add strength.On the infield, 82 mph positional velocity, short arm circle with over the top release, loose arm action, smooth footwork to the ball, stays under control, fluid exchange on time with momentum in footwork, long levers and lean frame suggest added strength in the future.


6-Foot-2, 185-Pound frame, physical frame with present strength, ran a 7.32, Offensively; slightly open stance,  miniature lift to load, closed land, barrel flat at foot strike, over rotate to contact, strength to levers, loses stability in front foot after contact, pull side power, 84 mph exit velo, Defensively; active feet, glove pat to field, bend to field, field deep, glove pat to throw, long arm action, strong arm, 77 mph arm strength, 1.94-2.08 pop time.

6/19/18 - Bush is a projectible 6-foot-2, 180-pound right-handed hitting catcher and middle infielder from Baxter Springs, KS. He ran a 5.00 home-to-first and posted an exit velocity of 83 mph. At the plate, Bush showed a quiet load, quick hands and level bat path while making solid contact. Behind the plate defensively, Bush has an athletic set up, quick transfer, gains momentum towards 2B with pop times between 2.03 and 2.15 seconds (quickest at the event), positional velo of 75 mph and mostly accurate throws. While on the infield, he showed a clean arm path, good actions, positional velo of 71 mph and mostly accurate throws.

9/9/18-A physically advanced 6-foot-2, 185-pound frame with some strength. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats from a slightly open and back leg heavy set up with some rhythm in his hands. Uses a smooth load, small leg lift, and moderate stride before launching his hands on a flat path through extension with some quickness in his hands. In BP, shows a middle to pull-gap and flat approach, mostly barrels, 83 mph exit velo. Runs a 7.54 60. Defensively, shows flexibility in the crouch with above average strong and quiet hands to go along with advanced blocking. On throws down, shows clean and consistent foot-work and exchanges that allow him to consistently put throws on the back with a short arm stroke and over the top slot at 75 mph and showcase pop times of 2.03-2.09.
