Murray is a strong, athletic 5-foot-7,155 pound middle infield prospect. The left-handed hitting Murray is advanced at the plate. The swing is sound, he has a good approach and uses a simple flat stroke to make a lot of solid contact. Defensively, Murray is a talented infielder. His feet are light, quick and athletic. He takes good angles, shows soft hands and has a quick arm. He moves well laterally and shows plus instincts. On the mound, Murray uses a simple, direct delivery. He works out of a higher ¾ slot that produces a fastball with some arm side run. He showed the ability to locate on both sides of the plate and mix in his secondary pitches.
