Physically developed right hander with the makings of a power arm. FB up to 91 keeping hitters off balance with a sharp curve and sweeping slider. Flashed a changeup with good arm speed. Some of the best present stuff out of the 2024 class in Michigan.

Carson Custer: RHP/3B, (2024) Forest Hills Central, MI. 6-foot-1, 205-pound. Advanced on the mound, showing good arm speed he used a clean arm action and a high ¾ arm angle. Shows decent effort in his delivery. He has downhill shoulders with a strong balance point. Lands square with an athletic recoil finish. Changeup (78-80 mph), slider (70-73 mph). Sat with his fastball at 87-89 mph and topped out at 90 mph; (Max spin 2325; Avg 2189). 

6-foot-1, 198-pound. Athletic in the box, Custer clocked an exit velocity of 86 mph. (61.4 mph bat speed average). (21.9 mph hand speed average). Started in an athletic stance with a smooth load, then used a controlled stride. Bat speed is developing, uses a level swing plane and level finish. He barreled up lots of balls with some loud contact. Line drive approach. In the infield, had a live arm with throws that topped out at 92 mph. On the mound, curveball (70-71 mph), changeup (74-77 mph), slider (72-74 mph). Produced a fastball that came in at 88-91 mph. (Max spin ; Avg ).

Lands open with balanced finish. Curveball (71-72 mph). Produced a fastball that came in at 87-88 mph. (Max spin 2210; Avg 2119). His changeup (74-75) shows down in the zone control and deceiving action. Threw a sharp slider (71-72) with tight action and down in the zone command. (Max spin 1956; Avg 1945). Shows late action and down in the zone control on his cutter.
