Sawyer Cooney: SS/RHP, (2025) Bloomfield Hills, MI. 6-foot-2, 175-pound. (75.2 mph bat speed average). (21.5 mph hand speed average). Starts in a balanced stance with a smooth load, then uses a small leg kick. He barreled up multiple balls with some loud contact. Smooth showed his live arm in the infield with position velocities up to 86 mph; shows firm hands, a clean exchange, and consistent feet. Fielded the ball out front with athletic movement laterally. During the event, ran the 60-yard dash in 7.32. Projectable athletic on the mound, showed good arm speed, he had a ¾ arm angle with a quick loose arm action. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who shows some effort. Showed athletic balance point with even shoulders. Lands square with an athletic finish. (Max spin 2141; Avg 2019).
