At the plate, has power to pull gap, looseness in hands, smooth load into back side, in line stride, quick bat speed, showed power with a double to left-center in game action.  In the outfield, over the top release, works behind the ball and through the catch, loose arm action, throws downhill, mostly accurate throws, 88 mph positional velo. On the mound, Cox had one of the top fastball velos on the day at 83 mph, working 77-83 mph, over the top release, repeats delivery, throws strikes, heavy ball, breaking ball is 69-71 mph, 12-to-6 shape, late and sharp break, controls change up at 77 mph, arm side sink.

At the plate, athletic stance, short stride with no wasted movement, short to contact, level to extension, quick bat speed, gap-to-gap power.  In the outfield, 86 mph positional velo, one of the top velos for the event, over the top release, athletic footwork, momentum through the catch, quick catch and release, aggressive and strong. On the infield, 77 mph positional velo, over the top release, arm works from different slots, quick feet, momentum towards target to throw, accurate throws.

2/14/16 - Cox is a 6-foot-2, 205-pound right-handed pitcher that attends Scott City HS in Scott City, MO. Class of 2017. Simple move to balance point, three-quarters slot, quick arm, some effort, repeats. Fastball with late arm-side run, firm pitch, high percentage of strikes, 83-85 mph. Feel for tight 11/5 breaking ball, 72-76 mph, good pitch. Change-up with sink, 75-76 mph. Strong pitcher’s frame, showed command of three pitches.

10/11/15 - Cox is a 6-foot-2 200-pound right-handed hitting outfielder in the 2017 class.   He ran a 7.19 60 and had an 80 mph exit velo. A physical hitter with power to pull gap, Cox has no wasted move in his pre-swing.  He has a short stride, loose hands and level path, producing line drives during batting practice.  He ran a 4.51 home-to-first. On the infield, 77 mph positional velo, accurate throws, quick feet, fields ball in athletic position, over the top release, momentum towards target, clean exchange. In the outfield, Cox has a positional velo of 80 mph with somewhat accurate throws.  He gets to the ball with a purpose and plays through the catch, loose over the top arm slot, clean exchange, quick release, throws downhill.
