One of the premier backstops in Missouri’s 2027 class, C/INF Carson Leuthauser (Eureka) delivered one of the loudest batting practice rounds of the event. Swinging from a simple, balanced right-handed setup, Leuthauser consistently found the barrel, generating effortless power and driving balls with authority to the pull-side gap. His most impressive blast traveled 372 feet at a peak exit velocity of 100.6 mph, with an impressive 92.7 mph average. Defensively, the sophomore showcased advanced skills behind the plate, reaching 79 mph from the chute with consistent pop times between 1.96-2.02. His athleticism carried over to the infield as well, where he posted an 89 mph infield velocity—the second highest of the event.

Uncommitted. Great look at Leuthauser on Tuesday during bracket play. He obliterated a fastball that went 370 feet and left the bat at 95 exit velocity. He has a big solid frame at 5’10 185 with plenty of room to add on. Smooth swing with immense power to all parts of the field, likes to attack early in counts and generates a ton of loud contact.
