Physical: Lean, athletic 5-foot-10, 160lb frame with a high-waist and projection. 7.09 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: RHH - Balanced, even stance just outside shoulder-width as the hands started at a 45 tilted towards the pitcher. Utilized a quick toe tap stride and load back to the shoulder for launch, initiating through a bursty flat path into the hitting zone. Recorded a mostly pull-side approach, finding the barrel at the front of the plate up to a 90 mph peak bat-exit velocity (via Trackman) during his batting practice round. Quick hands and ability to handle the inner half with a fast trigger pointing towards top of the order consideration moving forward. Posted a 335 foot batted ball distance with easy doubles power to all parts of the field.

Defensively: The primary shortstop featured advanced actions during defense, hopping in the “prep step” and staying on his toes on the approach. Got downhill with chest over toes and worked right-left, glove down off the middle of his body. Funneled cleanly inward, exchanging at the waist and released from a smooth, H ¾ slot with a full arm circle (81 mph arm, accurate). Should stick on the left side with pace to match in-game.

Pitching: RHP - Started off the far left side of the rubber at a sideways position. Quick pace to the delivery, pausing at the side rocker before getting down the slope at a breakneck pace. Landed in line and rotated fast down through footstrike, releasing on time at H ¾ slot. The FB showed ability to throw for strikes at 78-80 mph with some jump out of the hand, adding a short 70-73 mph breaker at an 11/5 tilt (30% zone rate, -4 inches IVB via Trackman).

2/15/21

Physical: Well put together, 5-foot-10, 160-pound frame with athleticism throughout. 7.25 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: RHH - Loose, slightly-bent and even stance as the hands showed out in front of the ear at a slight 45. Utilized an early toe-tap stride launching a quick-twitch, flat path into the hitting zone. Recorded an impressive 39% line drive rate coupled with a 39% hard hit percentage pointing towards consistency present to both gaps at the plate. Stayed in the legs well and handled pitches in any quadrant, hitting behind the ball in the posture with great feel for the barrel. A 92 mph bat-exit velocity per Trackman Baseball will certainly play in game action when considering he can accrue up to 17.3 G’s of rotational acceleration (power ceiling).

Defensively: The primary shortstop featured a nice, low fielding position with the glove presented early out in front; good body control in space with above-average pace in the middle. Up to an 86 mph arm strength across the diamond with ability to stick on the left side moving forward.
