7/28/21

Physical: Lengthy, proportional 5-foot-8, 135lb frame with athletic actions. 7.76 runner in the 60.

Offensively: RHH - Balanced, just inside shoulder-width base with the chest hovering over the plate to start (minor rhythm). Utilized a short lift and replace stride to initiate a direct, slightly uphill path towards a higher two-handed finish. Generated an expected 58% fly ball rate (via Trackman) and created backspin on pitches middle of the plate for distance to the LCF gap (321 foot batted ball, T84 mph bat-exit velocity). Able to get long arms extended out in front with some leverage obtained on the inner half.

Defensively: The shortstop gathered on time off the middle-left side of his body with a flat glove hand playing softly to the ball. Stayed low and finished off throws with the legs getting involved, helping accurate throws carry to the target (H ¾ slot, 71 mph arm, threw well on run).

Pitching: RHP - Set up off the glove side of the rubber from the stretch-only. Came set at an even position (high hands), breaking on-time towards a moderate arm-circle that finished out in front. Firm front-side that allowed for some consistency into the zone from a ¾ slot. The FB landed at 70-72 mph with arm-side run, mixing a commanded 58-60 mph with gradual shape.
