An athletic 5-foot-8, 155 pounds. Ran a 7.14 60 yard dash. Offensively- Stands in the box in a slightly open stance. Short stride towards the pitcher before attacking the baseball. Quick to the hitting zone, fast twitch actions. Slight lift at the point of contact. Showed some pop pull side during the hitting portion. The 2020 graduate has some upside with the bat. Top exit velocity was 84 MPH. Defensively- Impressive performance during the infield portion. Gets himself in a good position with active footwork. Displayed soft hands and smooth exchange to a quick release on throws across the diamond. Top throwing velocity was 83 MPH. The 2020 infielder is a must follow and projects as a SS at the college level.

CNY ASG (September 30, 2018)

Athletic frame with a proportional build. 5-foot-7, 145-pounds. Offensively – Narrow, upright stance with feet open to the pitcher. Uses low forward stride to square up to pitcher. Keeps front side in at landing. Continues to show simple, repeatable swing with level barrel path. Natural feel for the barrel with adjustable hitting actions. Smooth, fluid finish. Showed improved strength from previous events. Defensively – Reliable defender with athletic actions. Stays balanced with consistent body control throughout entire fielding process. Plays low with smooth feet. Quick, clean arm action. Makes all the necessary throws with low effort. Overall advanced feel for the infield.

June 25-27, 2018 (NYS Games)

Stands 5-foot-7, 150-pounds with an athletic appearance. Ran a 7.29 60 yard dash. Defensively, verysmooth and fluid actions. Everything is clean and easy. Carry on the arm strength, quick release, multi-arm slot ability. Active lower half thorugh the ball.  Offensively it's a very simple easy approach, slight incline to his fluid bat path loose hands. Line drive approach, above average rhythm and balance. High level overall player from CNY. 

Preseason - West (February 19, 2018)

Standing 5-foot-5, 150-pounds with an athletic smaller build, ran a 7.37 60 yard dash and we expect to see that lower come the summer. In the box, slightly open stance, very loose and relaxed, short to the ball, barrel is slightly uphill from a fluid swing plane, gap-to-gap consistent barrel contact, 83 mph exit velocity off a tee. Defensively, one of the top defenders in the 2020 class, slick to the ball with an active lower half, fields out in front from an open glove, moves through his throws throwing from multiple arm-slots at 84 mph with signs of more to come. Fun player to watch.

Western NY ASG (September 24, 2017)

Athletic 5-foot-7 141 pound middle infielder with silky smooth actions. Offensively- Open setup with feet just underneath his shoulders; up hill take back of the hands as his stride works back to even and forward. Easy effort through the zone with a long and late one-handed finish. Repeatable line drive stroke that will play at the next level. Exit velocity peaked at 78 MPH. Defensively- Clean actions in all directions; above average glove; short action across the belt with a quick release. Works well around the bag from both sides on the double play. More then adequate left side arm with more in the tank at 80 MPH. High end defender.

Campus Series-Oswego (August 15, 2017)

Stenson stands a slender/atheltic 5-foot-6, 132-pounds with room to grow. Offensively- Open stance, strides to closed on the pitch. Hands start close to body, some looseness in the hands. Short and quick to the ball, uphill barrel path, medium level extension. Exit velocity improved 4 MPH to 75 MPH. Defensively- Smooth and active lower half, clean glove with fluid funnel and quick transfers, mid to high ¾ slot, showed improved arm strength 79 MPH (+5 MPH) arm-strength with good carry.

Preseason All-State (February 20, 2017)

Stenson stands 5-foot-6, 132-pounds with a lean athletic frame. Offensively- Starts with an open stance, hands high and active before the pitch is delivered. Strides back to even getting his hips moving out in front, hands drive forward with back getting mostly flat through the contact zone, short fluid path. Exit velocity peaked at 71 MPH.  Defensively- Very promising 2020 middle defender with fluid actions, active footwork, glove stays out in front with a quick and clean transfer. Throws from a 3/4 slot with accuracy; 74 MPH across the diamond. Overall, Stenson is going to be a player to keep a close eye on. His actions are very smooth, both with the bat and glove. Once he starts developing physically his measurable numbers will increase significantly.  Fun player to follow over the next couple of years.
