Physical: High-waisted, longer limbs at 5-foot-11, 185-pounds. Athletic traits on the bump.
Pitching: LHP. The southpaw starts off the far right corner of the rubber; developing tempo with a big takeaway through a H slot. Really good at hitting the breaks into the front leg, making the CH a future + offering. Worked up to 82-84MPH with horizontal movement off the plate, adding a low-70’s biting SL (2300+ rpms) and a commanded 73-75 CH. Threw two tidy innings with 4K.
Physical: 5-11, 185 pounds; Muscular, sturdy build.
Pitching: Uses a glove side setup while using a side step. Belt high leg drive with a slight lean over the belt. Has a moderate stride while landing slightly open. Long arm swing while stabbing downward; standard 3/4 slot. Square to the plate with finish. FB: Peak velo of 84 MPH, while sitting 80-82 MPH; arm side run. SL: 74-78 MPH; 2-tier break. CH: MPH; fading action.

Pitching: Uses a glove side setup while using an angled drop step. Belt high leg drive with shoulders above the hips. Has a long stride landing inline with the plate. Moderate arm swing while showing some scap load; standard 3/4 slot. Square to the plate with finish. FB: Peak velo of 80 MPH, while sitting 74-79 MPH; arm side run with sink. CB: 58-61 MPH; sweeping lateral action. CH: 70-72 MPH; runs. Good command over his three pitch mix. Free and easy arm action. Displayed a fastball with high IVB and a curve with plus horizontal.

Offensively: LHH. Even setup, with feet shoulder width apart; has a pre-pitch bat waggle. Extended take back of the hands with a slight leg-kick for timing. Drifts into contact while showing an average effort from the legs. Showed a flat swing path with a late one hand finish. More line drives than flyballs and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 81 MPH via Trackman.
Defensively: Starts with a low to the ground setup; uses prep hop while active feet. Hands are out in front with a seamless transfer. Long arm swing from a standard 3/4 arm slot. INF - 76 MPH.
Pitching: Hays uses a glove side setup while using a side step. Belt high leg drive with a slight coil away from the plate. Has a moderate stride while landing slightly open. Long arm swing while demonstrating segmented stop and go action, while working through a standard 3/4 slot. Square to the plate with finish. FB: Peak velo of 75 MPH, while sitting 73-74 MPH; arm side run. CB: 60-62 MPH; late action. CH: 65-66 MPH; fading action.
