Blake Hauenstein: RHP/3B, (2023) Ayersville, OH. 6-foot-1, 185-pound. Solid on the mound, used a high ¾ arm angle and a clean arm action while showing quick arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who shows some effort. Has a strong balance point and downhill shoulders. Lands square with balanced finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 84-86 mph. Had slight running action. (Max spin 2567; Avg 2276). Shows slurvey action on his 11/5 curveball (72-75). (Max spin 2626; Avg 2533). His changeup (74-77) showed slight action. Throws a 10/4 slider (74-75) that has late action. (Max spin 2677; Avg 2658). He shows deceiving action on his splitter (71-74).


6-foot, 180-pound. Athletic during batting practice, the right-handed hitter displayed an exit velocity of 92 mph, Ranks #2 with EV at the event. Begins in an athletic open stance with a controlled smooth load, then uses a big leg kick. Had explosive bat speed. Created loud contact and found multiple barrels. Pull side approach. Solid while in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 75 mph; had consistent hands, and average consistent footwork. During the event, clocked a 60 time of 7.55. Solid on the mound, throws from a high ¾ angle. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who shows easy effort. Showed uphill shoulders. Changeup (66-69 mph).Threw his fastball 79-82 mph; shows arm side control and some action. Shows some action on his 10/4 curveball (66-69). 


Body Type: Long limbed, projectable frame.
Swing Mechanics: A right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced setup. SImple load that leads to a balanced launch.
Hit: Simple swing with obvious natural tools in there. Bat flies through the zone and strength shows up at contact. Worked the big part of the field with the ability to generate backspin.
Power: Gap to gap pop.
Offensive Projection: multiple Roles.
Field: Corner type in the outfield. Plays with fluid actions and above averag ball skills.
Throw: Arm is an above average tool.
Defensive Projection: Corner. 

Body Type: Long limbed, projectable frame.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Works with a slower tempo pace to his easy delivery. Drop and drive guy who creates solid energy down the mound. Arm works well through a high-¾ slot.
Fastball: 74-77 mph. Easy velocity with low 90s spin efficiency. Pitch will show regular arm side action and dip.
Curveball: 63-67 mph. Spins a tight breaking ball on a 10/4 plane. Solid pitch that has a nice combination of depth and action
Pitchability: Strike thrower.
Additional Comments: Definite arm to follow. Does a lot of things well.
