Bryce Amos: RHP, (2022) Shadyside, OH. Tulane Commit, 6-foot-5, 205-pound projectable frame. Advanced on the mound, showing quick arm speed he used a long arm action and a ¾ arm angle. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and uses easy effort. Changeup (76-79 mph), slider (81-85 mph).Threw his fastball 87-89 mph.
Scouting Notes: Has everything scouts look for physically in a prospect. 6-foot-4, loose arm and delivery continues to clean up. D1 arm talent who's electric when in the zone. Breaking ball is spun at advanced rates and has swing/miss potential when in the zone.
Fastball: 85-87mph.
Fastball Spin Rate: 1968-2395
Breaking Ball: 69-70mph.
Breaking Ball Spin Rate: 2521-2609
Changeup: 76-77mph.
2/9/20 Pitching
Delivery Notes: Amos shows ‘drop and drive’ elements to his delivery. He throws from a ¾ arm slot. Big, long projectable frame.
Fastball: The fastball was 81-84 mph and showed some sink at times.
Curveball: His breaking ball was 70-72 mph showed curveball shape and depth.
Changeup: The changeup was 76-77 mph.
Pitchability: Average feel for his three pitch mix. Overall, very projectable arm.
Body Type: 6-foot-3, 190-pound frame with endless projection left.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: A relaxed and smooth lower half with an aggressive ¾ arm action. Arm action is on time and lower half is in line.
Fastball: 80-83mph. Glove side movement for a low efficiency on Rapsodo. High 2,200-2,400 rpm spin rate. In the zone some of the time.
Curveball: 66-67mph. Moves on a 11/5 plane with decent movement for an average offering. Used sparingly being in and out of the zone when thrown.
Pitchability: In the zone most of the time.
Additional Comments: Upside arm with frame and potential for velo college coaches will be following closely.
Body Type: 6-foot-3, 180-pound very projectable frame.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: ¾ right-hander with obvious looseness to arm and above average arm speed.
Fastball: 80-82 mph. ¾ slot put natural arm side action on the fastball. Projects for much more velocity down the road.
Curveball: 68-69 mph. Tight, 10/4 shape to it. Slider look. Above average offering for class.
Changeup: 73-75 mph. An above average offering when in the zone. Pitch shows late fading action through the zone.
Pitchability: Filled it up with the fastball with secondary offerings being in/out of the zone.
Additional Comments: High follow in ‘22 class. Physical kid with room to add and should have easy velo gains with maturity.
6-foot-1, 175 pound right handed pitcher with a lanky frame throws out of a ¾ arm slot with longer arm action into his release. Produces an even tempo throughout his delivery with developing intent in his actions. Fastball with arm side run sits 73-75 mph. His curveball sat 63-65 mph with higher tilt to it. Changeup was 70-71 with glove side run and thrown for strikes.
