Cameron Brewer: 1B/RHP, (2024) Chaminade Julienne, OH. 6-foot-2, 210-pound. At the plate, the right-handed hitter clocked an exit velocity of 88 mph. (65.6 mph bat speed average). (19.7 mph hand speed average). Starts in an athletic quiet stance with a quick load, then uses a controlled stride. Bat speed was quick, used a loose level swing plane and good extension on his finish. Solid while in the infield, registered his best throw across the diamond at 78 mph; had sure hands, a natural exchange, and consistent footwork. Fielded the ball out front with athletic movement laterally. Used a high ¾ slot with a quick arm action. On the mound, showing some arm speed he had a consistent arm action with a high ¾ arm angle. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who uses easy effort. Sat with his fastball at 79-80 mph. Shows slight running action. (Max spin 2167; Avg 2085). Threw a 11/5 curveball (64-65) with slurvey action. (Max spin 2209; Avg 2177). He has some action on his changeup (74-75). Ran a 4.52 30 yard dash.

Started in a balanced athletic stance with a quick load, then used a controlled stride. Bat speed was quick flashed, had a simple upward swing plane and good extension on his finish. Solid in the infield, recorded a position velocity of 77 mph; showed consistent feet, sure hands, and a natural exchange. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Had a quick arm action with a high ¾ slot. Clocked a 60 time of 7.98 at the event. On the mound, showed consistent arm speed with a loose arm action and a high ¾ arm angle. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and shows easy effort. Produced a fastball that came in at 80-82 mph. Has slight running action. (Max spin 2028; Avg 1965). Shows a 11/5 curveball (66-67) with sweeping action. (Max spin 2204; Avg 2183). He had slight action on his changeup (73-75). 

Cameron Brewer: RHP/1B, (2024) Chaminade Julienne, OH. 6-foot-2, 210-pound. During batting practice, Brewer displayed an exit velocity of 95 mph, Top 2 velo of the day. (69.30 mph bat speed average). (20.60 mph hand speed average). Began in a balanced athletic stance with a smooth controlled load, then used a small leg kick. Has flashed explosive bat speed, upward simple swing plane and good extension on his finish. Solid while in the infield, recorded position velocities up to 76 mph; has a natural exchange, sure hands, and consistent developing feet. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Used a high ¾ slot and a loose arm action. In the 60-yard dash, recorded a time of 8.24.  (Max spin ; Avg ). 

Cameron Brewer: RHP/3B, (2024) Stebbins, OH. 6-foot-1, 205-pound solid frame. At the plate, the right-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 90 mph. Started in an open athletic stance with a smooth quick load, then used a leg kick. Had an upward swing plane, and his bat speed was quick. Solid while in the infield, registered his best throw across the diamond at 76 mph; shows sure hands, a clean exchange, and consistent developing feet. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were average. On the mound, had a ¾ arm angle and a quick arm action with good arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who uses some effort. Showed a strong balance point. Produced a fastball that came in at 78-80 mph; had arm side control and running action. Threw a 11/5 curveball (66-69) with plus action. His changeup (67-68) showed arm side control and fading action. His 11/5 slider (68-70) had plus action. 

Hit: Doesn;t look like a freshman in the box. Athletic, smooth mover with advanced physicality for class. Showed 70mph bat speed with the ability to sequere up the ball consistently. Impressive round with a top exit velo of 88mph.
Power: Impressive jump.
Offensive Projection: Run producer.
Field: Corner profile, Smoother actions, respectable ball skills with feel for the third base position.
Throw: 3/4 arm with jump out of the hand.
Defensive Projection: 3B/1B.

Scouting Notes: 2024 with physicality and feel. Delivery comes together well without requiring much effort. Expect velo additions with maturity.
Fastball: Upper 70s pitch that is heavy through the zone. Definitely shows signs of more in the tank.
Breaking Ball: Above average offering for class with an 11/5 shape and solid combination of depth/action. Quality pitch.
Changeup: Good sell with fastball arm speed and quality vertical break.
Pitchability: Strike thrower.

1/20/20 Position Player
Hit: Swings it from the right side, using a leg kick timing trigger during rhythmic barrel tip movement with hands. Uphill stroke with developing natural tools. Swing played best to middle/opposite field in BP. Expect much more to come as he matures physically.
Power: Line drive pop. Much more to come.
Offensive Projection: Middle upside.

Top Rapsodo BP Distance: 244
Field: Young defender that has fluidity throughout sequence. Not a flashy defender but appears to be sure handed. Solid showing.
Throw: Clean arm with more strength to come. 
Defensive Projection: Corner guy. 

1/20/20 Pitching
Delivery Notes: Showed a typical up, down, and out type delivery with a ¾ arm slot. 
Fastball: Fastball was 69-72 mph and true through the zone.
Fastball Spin Rate: 1800-2000
Curveball: Curveball was 59-63 mph and showed decent bite.
Curveball Spin Rate: 1700-1900
Changeup: Changeup was mostly true through the zone at 65-66 mph.
Pitchability: Average feel for his three pitch mix.

Body Type: 5-foot-8, 140-pound prospect.
Swing Mechanics: Balanced stance from the right side. Uses a back load to hands while getting his foot down very early during his toe turn timing trigger.
Hit: Very impressive round for a young guy. Quick, compact stroke on a slightly downhill path. Stays inside the baseball well, generating line drives to the middle of the field. Natural tools are above average for class, giving him a solid combination of feel and burst.
Power: 70 mph exit velocity. Ball comes off well.
Offensive Projection: Very young but has a middle of the lineup look to him.
Run: 9.5 60-yard dash.
Field: Worked out at third base where he showed smooth, easy actions. Ball skills are on par for class.
Throw: 60 mph across the infield. Loose arm with more strength to come and present accuracy.

Body Type: 5-foot-8 140-pound prospect.

Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Brewer threw from a low ¾ arm slot with average athleticism in the delivery.

Fastball: 62-65 mph fastball was mostly true but did show some cutting action at times.

Slider: 51-52 mph breaking ball showed slider type actions. Kept good arm speed on the pitch.

Changeup: 57-58 mph changeup was mostly true through the zone.

Pitchability: Good feel for his 3 pitch mix. Kept up his arm speed on his breaking ball, giving it a slider type action.

Role: Role is yet to be determined. Physically immature with lots of projection left.
