Kane Stephey: SS/RHP, (2026) Newark Catholic, OH. 5-foot-10, 145-pound. Started in a crouched stance with a smooth controlled load, then used a short stride. Bat speed is developing, displays a short simple swing plane and balanced finish. Pull side approach. In the infield, displayed a velocity of 81 mph. During the event, ran the 60-yard dash in 7.63.
Kane Stephey: SS/RHP, (2026) Newark Catholic, OH. 5-foot-10, 145-pound slim lanky build. (59.5 mph bat speed average). (18.4 mph hand speed average). Started in a balanced athletic stance with a rhythmic controlled load, then used a small leg kick. Bat speed is quick efficient, exhibits a short uphill swing plane and good extension on his finish. Found multiple barrels with a lot of loud contact. Aggressive gap to gap approach. Advanced in the infield, his position velocity was registered at 76 mph; has next level hands, consistent feet, and a clean exchange. Fielded the ball out front with athletic movement laterally. Consistent accuracy to the bases, used a short very quick arm action and athletic slot. In the 60-yard dash, recorded a time of 7.37. Smooth advanced on the mound, showed a clean arm action and a high ¾ arm angle with quick good arm speed Tilt-and-topple type pitcher and shows some effort.
