Keegan Phillips: LHP/OF, (2024) Greeneview, OH. 5-foot-10, 150-pound. Projectable on the mound, showed good arm speed with a long arm action and a ¾ arm angle. Feel type pitcher who shows some effort. Showed athletic balance point and even shoulders. Lands square with a recoil finish. Curveball (70-71 mph) well above average offering/can really spin it, changeup (75-77 mph). Sat with his fastball at 80-84 mph.
Keegan Phillips: LHP/OF, (2024) Greeneview, OH. 5-foot-10, 150-pound athletic frame. In the box, Phillips recorded an exit velocity of 81 mph. Begins in an open athletic stance with a quick controlled load, then uses a small leg kick. Bat speed is quick and uses a level an inside-out swing plane. Athletic in the infield, recorded a position velocity of 81 mph; showed soft hands, a clean exchange, and athletic feet. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. On the mound, used a ¾ arm angle with a loose arm action while showing good arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and shows easy effort. Has an athletic balance point. Sat with his fastball at 81-83 mph; showed running action and arm side command. Had plus action on his 1/7 curveball (68-70). Shows plus action on his 1/7 slider (76-78).
Hit: Sweet swinger from the left side. Very level path with a balanced offering of natural tools. Solid BP, taking what the pitch gives him while showing the ability to turn on the ball with authority.
Power: Pull side pop.
Offensive Projection: Top of the lineup.
Max BP Exit Velocity: 81mph.
Max BP Distance: 286ft.
Field: Moves well off the bag over at first base with quality ball skills.
Throw: Arm is a well above average tools for class.
Defensive Projection: 1B.
Scouting Notes:In the battle of two of the top southpaws in the state Phillips looked very sharp in the 1st. Velo continues to climb and he has always shown the ability to flat spin it. A guy who will be on college coaches radars soon.

Hit: Lefty hitter with a smooth easy stroke. Does a good job at consistently throwing hands at the ball keeping a nice level bat path.
Power: 77mph exit velo with a max distance of 253 feet.
Offensive Projection: Line drive guy that can work all over the field.
Field: Conservative approach to fielding but comes up ready to fire.
Throw: 77mph outfield velo.
Defensive Projection: Centerfield.
Delivery Notes: A mechanically sound delivery with a high ¾ arm action from the left side. Increased velocity expected as the athlete
physically matures.
Fastball: 71-75mph with a 1800-2000rpm spin rate on Rapsodo with some arm side movement.
Curveball: 62-64mph with a 1700-1900rpm spin rate on Rapsodo with 1-7 movement.
Changeup: 63-67mph, regular run/sink.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Athletic delivery that he repeats well for his age. Everything works well. Any added strength will easily translate to velocity.
Fastball: 69-74 mph. Mostly true through the zone with some late action to both sides of the plate. Filled it up with the offering.
Curveball: 58-60 mph. Well above average pitch. Spins a tight, 1/7 shaped breaker with good depth to it.
Pitchability: Strike thrower that got ahead with the fastball and put hitters away with the breaker.
Swing Mechanics: Left-handed hitter that starts in a balanced stance. SImple load followed by an aggressive launch.
Hit: Whippy swing with quick hands through the zone. Stronger than frame would suggest with respectable jump off the barrel. Used the entire field in BP.
Power: Line drive pop with flashes of gap abilities.

Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Uptempo delivery that doesn’t require much effort. Movements sync well out there with a clean, on time arm. Any added strength with maturity should easily translate to velocity with his cleanliness.
Fastball: 69-71 mph. Fastball will show regular arm side action with some downward life in the zone.
Curveball: 62-64 mph. Spins a big, 1/7 shaped offering with feel for the pitch. Pitch will sharpen up as velo jumps.
Changeup: 64-65 mph. Maintains arm speed. Pitch will show fading action.
