The Kent State commit passes the look test at 6-foot-2, 175-pounds. A smooth swinger from the left side that uses a leg kick for timing/energy. Barrel launches from a vertical position and travels on a level path to contact. Jackson generates a balanced combination of strength and bat speed through the zone, both projecting as above average tool. Finds the barrel well showing true ball flight to the middle/opposite field gap. Much more to come from this talented bat as he continues to fill out athletic frame. In the infield he plays under control in his approach. Can get around the baseball at times. Actions appear more athletic on the move. Frame/skill set indicate a move to third base may be in his future and he has showed an above average skill set in the outfield previously.

5/31/17
A left-handed hitter that starts in an open setup. Gets back to even through a leg kick load and controlled stride. Lower half is efficient and creates energy. Hands are fluid until launch. Gets on plane early and takes a level path to the ball. Impressive pop to his pull side. Drove a double off the wall in game play, to highlight one of his multiple hits. In the infield he has some fluidity to his actions. Does a nice job of cutting down distance in his pre fielding footwork. Would like to see him play lower at fielding position. Showed confidence in his glove and looked very athletic on the move.

6-foot-1, 155-pound prospect with long, skinny frame. Generated consistent line drives from the left side of the plate. Starts from a slightly open stance and a bit of a crouch. Some backside tendencies in his swing at present. Gets his front side squared up and shows good use of his lower half. Ran a 6.99 electronically timed 60. From the outfield, aggressive attacking the ball. Quick transfer reaching a top velocity of 76 mph. In the field, moved well showing good actions. Displayed a quick glove and good hands. Needs to improve the quickness of his transfer. Uses a long arm action and reached top velocity of 71 mph.
