Louie Santangelo: SS/RHP, (2027) Olentangy Liberty, OH. 6-foot-2, 200-pound. (71.3 mph bat speed average). (22.4 mph hand speed average). Started in a balanced athletic stance with a controlled load, then used a quick stride. Bat speed is quick, displays a simple upward swing plane and high finish. Solid in the infield, displayed a velocity of 79 mph; had a natural exchange, consistent footwork, and sure hands. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Used a high ¾ slot and a quick arm action. Clocked a time of 7.28 in the 60-yard dash. On the mound, used a high ¾ arm angle and a quick arm action while showing some arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and uses some effort. Shows slight running action. (Max spin 2249; Avg 2047). His 11/5 curveball has gradual action. (Max spin 2397; Avg 2263). Louie Santangelo: SS/RHP, (2027) Olentangy Liberty, OH. 6-foot-2, 185-pound. (75.8 mph bat speed average). (21.0 mph hand speed average). Starts in a tall open stance with a controlled tight load, then uses a leg kick. Had explosive bat speed, level swing plane and a back foot finish. Found lots of barrels through his round. Gap to gap approach. In the infield, displayed a velocity of 74 mph. Recorded a 60 time of 7.58 at the event. Projectable on the mound, showed good arm speed, he had a loose long arm action with a high ¾ arm angle. Stretch only type pitcher who uses easy effort. Tall balance point with uphill shoulders. Lands square with an athletic finish. (Max spin 2201; Avg 2027).
7/26/22
Talented bat from the left side. Load is quick, leads top a balanced launch and path flows naturally through a level path to contact. Both strength and speed are apparent to stroke and ball jumps when squared. A lot to work with here. Showed an above average skill set defensively across the board as well.
