Mitchell Roether: 1B/3B, (2022) Beavercreek, OH. 6-foot-1, 220-pound. Athletic at the plate, the right-handed hitter's 99 mph exit velocity ranks him 2nd at the event. Begins in a tall open stance with a smooth controlled load, then uses a small leg kick. Had explosive bat speed. Created loud contact and found multiple barrels. Gap to gap approach. Solid while in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 80 mph; has firm hands, and consistent feet. Used a high ¾ slot and a long arm action. Recorded a 60 time of 7.48 at the event.
6/29/20
Hit:Right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced stance. Utilizes lower half through a fluid leg lift. Hands load bat to a vertical launch position. Swing is whippy and physically. Very impressive round with some of the loudest pop we saw on the day. Put one off the light pull in BP, leavin the yard twice. Power:His advanced physicality and natural lift to the baseball make him an ideal middle of the lineup guy. Offensive Projection:RUn producer. Max BP Exit Velocity:102 mph Max BP Distance: 405 ft Field:Corner infielder. Smooth actions with quality ball skills. Looks comfortable over at third base with a skillset that should translate to first as well. Throw:Clean arm with respectable jump. Defensive Projection: Corner INF.
2/22/20
2/22/20 Position Player Hit: Tall strong stance with a slide step approach with a long lengthy swing. Power: 96mph exit velo with a max distance of 322 feet. Offensive Projection: Gap to gap power hitter. Field: Conservative approach with fluid footwork. Becomes vertical upon release. Throw: 75mph infield velo. Defensive Projection: 3B. Delivery Notes: A big powerful frame that needs to learn how to firm up the front side. A higher ¾ arm action that is short yet smooth. Potential on the mound with some mechanical tweaks. Fastball: 77-79mph with a 1700-1900rpm spin rate. Curveball: 64-67mph with 11-5 movement ¾ downward action w/depth and bottom. Changeup: 70-73mph CH has late dive.
8/1/18 Took one of the louder BPs of the day. Obvious physicality in the box from the right side. Uses an athletic load, combining a leg kick and bat tip. Ball really jumps off his bat and his natural loft allows for easy lift of the baseball. Middle of the lineup type with big raw power potential. A third baseman with feel for the position. Feet work well and he plays through with above average ball skills. More lateral mobility than frame would suggest. Enough arm to stay on the left side.
7/10/18 Physical swinger from the right side. Load is efficient and his natural loft in path allows him to lift the baseball without sacrificing natural tools. Swing offers advanced strength with above average bat speed. Ball looks different off his bat. Hit a few moonshots to pull side in BP. A third baseman with the frame for the spot. Moves well in and out of funnel. Solid defender with soft hands and above average ball skills. Two-way prospect. Works exclusively from the stretch. Physical presence on the mound. Rolls through a chest high leg lift into a drop and drive load. Long loose arm action. Fastball comes through a high-¾ slot sitting 73-77 mph. Complements fastball with an 11/5 breaking ball that has some drive to it at 63-65 mph. 60-yard dash: 8.47 Infield Velocity: 71 Exit Velocity: 92
3/11/18
Taller, physical build with room for continued growth and improved strength. Throws from a shorter, over the top arm action. Shows nice, fluid mechanics getting to a strong throwing position at foot strike. Fastball sits 75-77 mph topping at 78 mph with solid arm side run consistently for strikes. Slider displayed nice run to it around the zone 63-64 mph. Developing curveball from 64-67 mph. Changeup was solid at 67-69 mph with slight downward tumble and nice run into right-hand batters. Intent was present in actions. Plenty of upside in abilities. Stood out for his raw power at the plate. A right-handed hitter that starts in a wider setup. Barrel starts in launches from a vertical setup. Goes with a toe turn to effectively utilize lower half. Swing is level with some natural loft in there. A middle of the lineup type with advanced strength for age. Ball looked different off his bat, showing present gap pop and the top raw power of the event. Also showed above average abilities at third base. Feet work well, creating angles and maintaining rhythm through fielding. Does a nice job of varying tempo/direction to get the correct hop. Ball skills grade out as above average as well.

6/28/17 5-foot-10, 200 pound frame. The right hander throws from a higher ¾ arm angle with some glove side cut on his fastball. His go-to secondary pitch is a 12-6 curveball that he likes to throw on the outer half. He flashed a changeup in warmups that appears to still be developing. He generates momentum with lower half strength, pushing his back leg hard off the mound. His front foot lands slightly closed, but he tends to fall off the mound towards first base after release.A righty swinger that starts in a wide setup. Uses a double tap or timing. Hands stay quiet prior to launch. A strong kid with natural loft to his swing. Showed impressive pop to his opposite field gap. Handles the low pitch very well. Would see immediate improvements to pop and ball flight by creating more energy with his lower half. In the infield he showed fluidity to his action. Looks comfortable around the bag at third. Ball skills are developing. Glove skills are more advanced inside his funnel. FB: 67-72 CB: 59-63 60-yard Dash: 8.5 Infield Velocity: 70 Exit Velocity: 75
