Scouting Notes: Went from under the radar to high follow in the past two weeks. 6-foot-6 southpaw with a high ceiling. Smoother mover with a loose arm and well-timed movement patterns. Up to 84 mph with feel for the zone and playable offspeed. Going to be an interesting arm once everything comes together. Fastball: 80-84mph. Fastball Spin Rate: 2067-2228 Breaking Ball: 69-71mph. 6-foot-6, 190-pound frame, lean, long limbs, and plenty of room for continued physical development. On the mound he throws with regular effort with a vertical leg lift landing in a straight line at foot strike. Fluid arm action with quick arm speed coming from a ¾ slot. Fastball is mostly true through the zone ranging from 81-83 mph. Breaking pitch has a tighter shape with sharpness to it and sinking action at 68-71 mph. Changeup is thrown close to fastball arm speed between 66-67 mph. At first base he is able to cover a good amount of ground with his length and moves well laterally with fluid footwork. Reached a velocity of 82 mph. Right-handed hitter starts from an athletic stance using an inward turn for timing and to initiate his lower half. Hands load past his back shoulder. Showed the ability to hit the ball to both sides of the field during his round of BP reaching an exit velocity of 89 mph. Ran a 7.86 60-yard dash.
