Chance Cox: LHP/OF, (2021) Mustang, OK. 6-foot-1, 185-pound lean frame. During batting practice, the left-handed hitter displayed an exit velocity of 91 mph, showing his strength and power ability. Started in a balanced stance with a small load, then used a short stride. Bat speed was above average, used upward swing plane and high finish. In the round he found some barrels. Pull side approach. Above average recorded an outfield position velocity of 87 mph; has soft hands, a clean exchange and smooth feet. Using a quick arm action, showed consistent accuracy to the bag from a high ¾ slot. Showed off his speed at the event, running a swift 6.95 60-yard dash. Projectable on the mound, threw from a high ¾ arm angle and had good arm speed. Feel type pitcher who shows easy effort. Displays even shoulders and athletic balance point. Lands square with a clean finish. Sat with his fastball at 82-84 mph and topped out at 85 mph; has running action. Has some action and glove side control on his 11/5 curveball . He had fading action on his changeup .

A 6-foot-1, 165-pound lean and athletic frame with room to add size and strength. Offensively, the left-handed hitter bats from an upright, slightly back leg heavy, and quiet set-up. Uses a short load with a slight leg lift and moderate stride before launching his hands on a slightly uphill path with a high finish. In BP, shows a flat and middle to opposite field approach with mostly barrels and occasional lift, 78 mph exit velo. Runs a 6.98 60. Defensively, shows clean, confident and athletic actions with advanced hands and feet. Throws with full and fluid arm stroke with moderate length coming through a high-¾ slot. Shows accuracy at 85 mph from the outfield.

A  6-foot-1, 165-pound lean and athletic frame with lots of room to add size and strength. On the mound, the left-hander works from an average tempo delivery with rhythm and an up-down-and around leg kick before gliding to the dish and finishing balanced. Arm action is long, loose, and fluid in the back before coming through a high-¾ slot with some easy arm speed. Fastball sits 80-83 mph flashing late arm-side run, some strikes. Slider shows 2/8 shape with some depth, thrown consistently for strikes at 60-63 mph. Changeup shows some fade with some strikes at 72-73 mph.

A physically advanced 6-foot, 165-pound athletic frame. On the mound, the left-hander works from an average tempo delivery with rhythm that he repeats well. Arm action has moderate length in the back with a clean circle before coming through a high-¾ slot with arm speed. Fastball shows arm-side run especially down in the zone at 81-84 mph. Changeup has excellent fade and has a chance to be a plus pitch in the future, 65-70 mph. Curveball shows rolling action with 1/7 shape, 61-62 mph. Slider has shorter action with more late depth, 66-67 mph. 

A 6-foot, 165-pound advanced frame with room to add size and strength. Offensively, the left-handed hitter bats from a quiet, open, upright, and relaxed set-up. Uses a moderate leg kick before launching his hands on a flat path to contact with a high finish. In BP, shows a pull approach with some lift and advanced bat speed, almost all barrels, 85 mph exit velo. Runs a 6.79 second 60. Defensively, in the outfield, shows confident, clean, and athletic actions, chops his feet well. Throws with a long and fluid arm stroke coming through an over the top slot with elite arm strength, 89 mph from the outfield.

An athletic 6-foot, 165-pound frame with some wiry strength and plenty of room to add size. On the mound, the left-hander works only from the stretch with a moderat leg kick before gliding down the mound with little effort. Arm action is short and fluid in the back with a wrist hook before coming through a ¾ slot with arm speed. Fastball was as little down from where we have seen it before at 80-82 mph, still showing consistent and late arm side run. Slider is well advanced at 66-68 mph with 2/8 shape and late depth, mostly strikes. Changup sits 68-69 with slight fade. Retired five of the six batters he faced allowing just one walk and one infield hit while striking out two.

Offensively, the left-handed hitter bats from an open, upright, and slightly back leg heavy set-up  with some rhythm in his hands. Uses a moderate leg kick and long stride before launching his hands on a flat path through contact with a high finish and some bat speed. In BP, shows a flat and gap-to-gap approach with occasional lift, some barrels, 85 mph exit velo. Runs a 6.79 60. Defensively, is well advanced showing athletic, confident, and polished actions. Throws with a clean and full arm action through a nearly over the top slot with elite arm speed for his age and accuracy at 89 mph from the outfield.

An athletic and lean 6-foot-1, 165-pound frame with room to add size and strength. On the mound, the left-hander works from an average tempo delivery with athleticism and rhythm, a short up-down-and-out leg kick, before striding down the mound with quality leg drive. Arm action is long, loose, fluid, and quick in the back with a wrist hook before coming through a ¾-slot with arm speed. Fastball sits 82-84 mph with occasional late sink and arm-side run, mostly strikes. Slider has 2/8 shape with some late depth at 69-70 mph, mostly strikes. Changeup has consistent run and some sink at 69-70 mph. In the game, walked his first batter before retiring his last four batters, striking out three.

Offensively, the left-handed hitter bats from an open and back leg heavy set-up with some rhythm in his hands. Uses a moderate leg kick at times and a reverse toe-tap at others before launching his hands on a flat path with some length, bat speed, and a high finish. In BP, shows a middle to opposite field and flat approach, some barrels, 89 mph. Runs a 6.79 60. Defensively, shows clean, confident and athletic actions in the outfield, charging the ball well. Throws with a quick shuffle step and full arm stroke coming through a high-¾ slot with advanced arm strength and some accuracy at 89 mph.
