Positional Profile: OF/1B
Body: 6-2, 190-pounds. Athletic and physical build with present strength.

Hit: RHH. Starts with a slightly open stance with an upright posture and hands getting set at shoulder height. Quick rocking load into the lower half.  Simple stride back to neutral.  Keeps a 50/50 weight distribution at contact.  Hands and lower half work linearly through the zone.  Has very quick hands and good overall bat speed.  Matches plane with the pitch well.  Shows strength at contact and true power potential.  Very well put together swing with simplicity and quick twitch actions. 
Power: 99.6 max exit velocity, averaged 92.7 mph. 372’ max distance.
Arm: RH.  INF - 91 mph. OF - 94 mph. Over the top arm slot with a clean and quick arm action.
Defense: In the outfield attacks the ball with controlled rhythm and footwork.  Fields the ball with good glove action and soft hands.  Very good pulldown on the arm for maximum carry.  Utilizes a shuffle crow hop technique with good momentum headed towards the target.  In the infield shows good glove action and soft hands.  Shows proper footwork around the bag and shows the ability to change arm slots when the play dictates.
Run: 6.98 runner in the 60. 



Delivery: Smooth rocker style footwork working to an easy pivot foot.  Slow and methodical pace to the delivery.  Works to a low balance point with slightly crouched posture.  Max effort after the balance point with heavy momentum headed towards the plate.  Strong push off the back foot on the rubber.
Arm Action: RH. High 3/4 arm slot with a clean arm action.
FB: T86.6, 83.8-86.0 mph. Mostly straight shape with good riding life through the zone and tilt to the bottom of the zone. T2252, 2214 average rpm.
CB: 69.4-71.9 mph. 11/5 shape with tight break and good downward depth. T2174, 2171 average rpm.

The 2023 1B/outfielder showed his defensive versatility and the future power potential throughout the week for Team Oklahoma.  During the workout day Mitchell showcased an arm that was up to 85 mph in the outfield and an impressive 83 mph reading across the diamond from first.  He has good footwork and takes good routes at both spots making him a valuable piece that can play the corners.  During the BP session Mitchell showed the ability to match plane with the pitch very well to go along with solid hand speed and bat speed metrics.  During the games Mitchell got extended on a ball on Saturday showing what he is capable of with the bat on a hard hit double down the left field line.  Mitchell does a good job of getting the most out of his lower half with a 50/50 weight distribution at contact and good sequencing.

Positional Profile: OF/1B

Body: Athletic 6-foot-1, 183-pound build.

Hit: RHH. Upright, narrow stance with low handset. Quick hand load and short stride into level swing with good extension through the zone. Gap to gap approach, loud contact during BP.

Power: 92 mph exit velocity from the tee and 96 in BP. Shows good bat speed.

Arm: RH. INF - 84 mph. OF - 85 mph. Quick high-¾ arm action. Some carry and accuracy behind throws.

Defense: In the outfield, confident fielder with reliable glove and quick feet. In the infield, moves well around the bag, soft hands and fluid exchanges.

Run: 7.11 runner in the 60.

Devin Mitchell: OF/1B, (2023) Edmond Santa Fe, OK. 6-foot, 170-pound slim frame. In the box, the right-handed hitters best exit velocity was 82 mph. Starts in a wide stance with a small load, then uses a controlled stride before his swing. Bat speed is 7, uses short swing plane and level finish. Found some barrels during his round. Line drive approach. His best position velocity in the outfield was registered at 78 mph. Solid while in the infield, made throws up to 74 mph; had a clean exchange, sure hands and choppy footwork. Showed decent accuracy to the bag with a high ¾ slot and a short arm action. Clocked a 60 time of 7.32 at the event.

Demonstrated a long 5-foot-11, 165-pound frame with strength in his actions and room to add size as he matures. The right-handed hitter begins with a wide, even stance utilizing a knee knock stride to initiate his swing. Generated a flat barrel path through the hitting zone allowing for a line drive approach off the tee. Displayed advanced feel for his hands working through the ball to extension. Registered an 81 mph bat-exit velocity and ran a 7.20 60-yard dash. The primary outfielder showed easy, fluid actions while arriving to the ball on time and playing through with momentum towards the target. Flashed an accurate 82 mph arm-strength out of a high ¾ arm-slot.

The 5-foot-10, 150-pound primary outfielder displayed a long, projectable frame with present strength. The right-handed hitter begins in a wide, even setup with the front leg shaded in slightly towards the plate. A controlled leg-hang is utilized to generate a slightly uphill barrel through the zone with fluidity and sink into a strong lower half. Registered a 78 mph bat-exit velocity  and recorded a 7.89 60-yard dash. The primary outfielder showcased smooth movements coupled with adequate footwork during defensive evaluations. Arrived to the ball on time and used a fluid high ¾ arm-slot yielding accurate 73 mph throws from his position.

3/03/19

5-foot-10, 145-pound right-handed hitting outfielder. 4.87 home-to-first time. Open stance, controlled leg kick trigger, consistent solid contact, aggressive swing, stays on and through contact, shows above avg. line drive pop in bat for age, 78 mph exit velocity. Sure hands, fields underneath body occasionally, has good momentum through baseball, follows throws to target, one-piece arm action with solid carry and accuracy, 75 mph arm strength from outfield.
