Fresh off of one of the top Holiday Hitters performances in the country, Melo continues to impress ahead of what will be a crucial summer in respect to college recruiting. The hulking 6-foot-3, 230-pound corner infielder looks to do damage every time he steps into the box, and this week was no different as he dominated our Trackman leaderboard across several categories. His max EV (98.4mph), average EV (91.1mph) and Hard Hit % (66%) were all tops on the day, and the max distance wasn’t far behind at 361ft. There’s a minor hitch in the swing, but Melo’s hands and lower-half compensate with sheer strength and twitch. Also gave us a two-way look, living in the low 80s (T83) with the fastball and flashing a breaking ball he was able to land for strikes.

Melo was another London Badger that stood out on the day with a ton of barrels to the pullside. Melo is one of the top 2025s in Ontario and looked comfortable in the box working mostly to the pull side. The swing is simple with a quiet setup and loft displayed on contact. Melo is one of the top bats in the 2025 class and continues to show improvements with his swing.

Melo, 6-foot-1, 195-pounds, was the most physical young player we had to the Preseason ProCase. He immediately stands out among players in his class in the box with juice to his pull side. He took a very mature round of BP, using the whole field and driving pitches to the wall in both left and right field on a line. Thereâ€™s present strength and ability to get the ball in the air with consistent hard contact. Melo is one of the top bats in the 2025 class.

Melo continues to impress our staff here in Panama City Beach. The big 6-foot, 185-pound corner infielder balled out in the box today. He finished the day going 2-for-2 with a screaming ground rule double and followed that up with a line shot to left field. He is one of the bright young talents on the Futures team. He is a physical player who already shows some pull side juice. Melo has power potential and he continues to mature. He will be a close follow all week long.

2025 3B/1B Logan Melo was another player who's maturity and raw strength stood out during the Jr. Future Games Trials. Posted one of the top exit velocities at 92mph and although it wasn't the most consistent round we've seen from him, he flashed the type of damage he can do on several pitches. Will continue to grow at the corner infield positions as he gains more reps but the bat has shown to be one of the top in Ontario's 2025 class.

There was consistent hard contact up the middle and to the poolside with exit velocity of 88. With the size and swing, you can put Melo towards the top of the list of 2025s we need to watch this spring/summer.
