Right-handed hitter started from an open stance, employing a knee-to-knee stride with armbar to a slightly open base. Contact-oriented approach and worked oppo gap in BP. Ran a 7.38 60-yard dash and in-game best 4.68 home-to-1B time. Showcased 78-mph exit velocity and 80-mph arm strength during workout. Arm strength would play up if he got his front foot around toward his target instead of landing open.
6/17/15 Lean frame with room to add strength (6-foot-2, 175-pounds). Pitched one inning out of a high three-quarter slot with high front side and back shoulder tilt. Fastball sat 77-78, while he also utilized a slow curveball at 63-64 that varied in shape around 11/5 and a change-up at 69-70.
6/17/15 6-foot-2, 175-pound right-handed hitter. Starts from slightly open stance, employs knee-to-knee stride to square. Armbar created during load/separation, rocks to backside leading to a significant amount of head and body movement. Got injured during day one of event, so only logged two plate appearances. Showcased 79-mph arm strength in workout, using accurate, one-hop throws. Needs to improve reads and routes defensively.
1/26/13 Myers showcased his defensive abilities in the outfield with athletic actions and good carry on throws of 78 mph to home plate. He showed an improved bat exit velocity of 76 mph in a solid round of batting practice. Myers used a short swing path to consistently line baseballs to all fields.
