Physical: Long, highly athletic 6-foot-1, 190lb frame with projection found. 7.06 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: LHH - Begins from an upright, wider operation as the upper half showed loose actions to start. Utilized a deep, low load position coupled with a leg-lift stride, initiating the bat head through a flat, direct path into the hitting zone. Tons of intent at the front of the plate with obvious twitch available, producing a mostly pull-side approach for distance. Recorded a T102 mph bat-exit velocity (via Trackman) with a 43% fly ball rate, working up to a near 390 foot batted ball distance at his peak. True middle of the order type skillset with some of the better bat-speeds at the Future Games (low 80’s).
Defensively: The outfielder demonstrated easy actions in space, attacking the ball with control at the fielding window. Fielded with accuracy off his right side, funneling into the chest and getting rid immediately from a H ¾ slot (83 mph arm, moderate arm circle).
6/15/21
Physical: Athletic 6-foot-1, 190lb frame with good proportions and noticeable strength that translates to all phases. 7.11 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: LHH - Started from a wide, loose stance with the hands starting tight by the ear. Utilized a stretched load position back to the shoulder, coupled with a repeatable leg lift stride in order to initiate a high-intent swing through a flat, twitchy path with noticeable extension at impact. Posted a mostly lofty approach, accruing extra-base hits throughout his batting practice round to the RCF part of the field (102 mph peak bat-exit, 335 foot batted ball distance). Showcased a 46% fly ball rate and 55% hard hit rate pointing towards easy middle of the order projection at the next level.
Defensively: The primary outfielder displayed simple actions on the approach, getting around and down through the ball at the fielding window with medium posture/above-average pace. Fielded off the inside of the right foot and funneled inward quickly to a consistent exchange position; released accurately with slight arm-side run from a medium ¾ slot (83 mph arm).
