4/10/18 Long-limbed and wiry, this 6-foot-6 right-handed pitcher is the type of prospect to dream on. It is not hard to imagine another velocity spike coming as he ascends to college. The fastball was 86-89 MPH with late life running in on the hands of right-handed hitters. His changeup was a little firm at 79-80 MPH but was thrown with the same armspeed as the fastball. The curveball was spotty on the day, improving in the 3rd inning (coincidentally when the wind died down and you could feel your fingers). Lost his control a bit in his final frame of work, but a solid showing as he generated consistent swings-and-misses on his primary offerings.
4/21/17 A velocity jump two years in the making has finally happened for this lanky, 6-foot-5, 180-pound Pittsburgh commit. After sitting in the low-80s for most of his first two high school seasons, he came out pumping 86-88, touching 89 mph in the first inning today. Showed a real ability to get the baseball downhill with consistent sink. Three-pitch mix also includes a curveball at 71-74 and change-up at 78-79, both of which he also commands down in, or down out of, the zone. Delivery includes an overhead rocker and slight back shoulder dip. Plenty of room to still add strength to his frame, so there may still be more to come from him yet.

4/18/15 Tall, long-limbed youngster with plenty of room to fill out his lean frame. From a high-3/4 slot, FB sat 81-83 and he featured a late-breaking 11/5 CB at 69-72. Showed very good poise and aggressiveness (26 pitches, 18 strikes) in his first varsity action. Also plays basketball.
