6/15/20

Physical: Lean and athletic 6-foot-2, 180-pound frame with plenty of projectability. 7.15 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: LHH. Crouched, even stance with hands high and bat resting downward on the shoulder. Demonstrated some rhythm along the shoulder line with the barrel moving upwards upon load coupled with a short life-and-replace stride for the timing mechanism. Generated easy, whippy swings through the hitting window allowing for extra base hit potential and high bat to ball skills. Showcased a strong top hand yielding line drives to the pull-side primarily while utilizing a slightly uphill barrel path through contact. The lower half is athletic and adjustable allowing for the ability to hit offspeed pitches hard to both gaps. 96 mph bat-exit velocity during a loud batting practice round per Trackman Baseball.

Defensively: The sneaky athleticism behind the dish created some interesting measurables during defensive evaluations. The primary backstop starts with a low center of gravity allowing for repetitive sticks while receiving on the corners. Pop times ranged from 1.97-2.05 on accurate 77 mph throws, the arm strength which stands out the most at the moment. The limbs play long behind the plate but short, smooth transfers allow for the ability to shut the run game down. The length also helps while blocking as he was able to range to both sides showcasing present recovery skills. Feel behind the plate and pitchers like to throw to him.  C - 77 MPH.
