2016 PBR Future Games - Team Pennsylvania
8/19/16 Fedko continued a whirlwind summer of high level events in which he has consistently stood out in all facets of the game. Fedko's foot speed (6.85 60-yard dash) and easy actions in everything he does were evident all weekend. The rising junior made all the routine plays at shortstop while making several highlight reel plays as well. Offensively the right-handed hitter went 5-for-10 with three doubles, one triple, seven RBI, a walk, two runs scored and five stolen bases on the weekend.
8/4/16 6-foot-1, 185-pound right-handed hitter went 2-for-6 with a triple in game action. Simple, balanced approach at the plate. 7.02 runner showcased above average abilities as a middle infielder with 82 mph arm strength across the diamond. Also flashed ability to play the outfield and impressed with a strike to home plate for an outfield assist to cut down a run in game action.
2/14/16 6-foot-2, 185-pound right-handed hitter who has added height and significant strength to his frame since we last saw him over the summer. Ran a 6.85 60-yard dash and posted an 87-mph exit velocity (up 9-mph from eight months ago). Hits from a slightly open stance, rocks weight to backside accompanied by circular, horizontal load of hands. Uphill swing path with some length. Defensively, he attacked the baseball and closed the gap to it well, while showing an accurate 83-mph arm across the diamond from an over-the-top slot.
6/24/15 6-foot, 155-pound right-handed hitter. Hit from a slightly open stance with controlled knee-to-knee stride and kept eyes level. Flashed some bat speed in a loose, pull-oriented swing that he showed an ability to repeat. Did not run the 60-yard dash, but was an aggressive baserunner prior to suffering a lower leg injury on day one of the event. Showcased 78-mph exit velocity and 75-mph arm strength (ran FB up to 79 in game) during workout. Would like to see him play lower to the ground (currently carries glove high on approach), but he exhibited good feet and hands defensively.
6/24/15 6-foot, 155-pound frame. Pitched out of a high three-quarter slot with clean arm action and compact delivery. Fastball sat 77-79 and was complemented by a curveball at 63-64 with 11/5 action and a change-up at 62-63 with a bit of sink. Both secondary pitches will improve when he learns to maintain his aggressiveness and not slow his body down when throwing them. Fielded position well.
8/13/19:Was overmatched at the plate, striking out in almost a third of his 80 plate appearances while slashing .171/.200/.224 in his 25 games, but doesn’t turn 20 until the end of September and shows some defensive value in his versatility across the dirt and the grass.
