Physical: Bursty 6-foot, 185-pound frame with tangible strength. 6.82 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH. Upright, narrow stance, as the barrel starts at a 45 over the shoulder. Utilized a simple leg-lift stride to initiate his swing through a flat path, towards a high finish into the hitting zone. Really worked behind the ball with an efficient move and line-drive approach. Hammered both gaps, up to a T93MPH EV and added a base-knock vs. Team Illinois in Game One. More power coming soon.
6/14/22
Physical: Athletic, projectable 5-foot-11, 160lb frame. 7.12 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH. Narrow, slightly bent stance, as the hands began just underneath the shoulder. Utilized a stretched lift-and-replace stride to initiate the swing through a flat, rotational path into the hitting zone. Matched plane efficiently to multiple zones and showed off an adjustable backside with bat to ball skills present. Recorded a T83 mph bat-exit velocity from a developing gap-to-gap approach.
Defensively: The middle infielder rounded the ball, displaying a quiet glove hand that could push or pull depending on the hop. Maintained pace over the toes and flashed an accurate 77 mph arm across the dirt from a couple different angles.
6/22/21
Physical: 5-foot-9, 140 pounds; Athletic, lean build. 7.66 runner in the 60. Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet shoulder width apart; bat positioned at a 45 degree angle. Drops hands on the way back with a slight leg-kick for timing. Drifts into contact while showing an average effort from the legs. Showed a slight lift to the ball with a two handed finish. More groundballs than line drives and flyballs with a peak exit velocity of 83 MPH via Trackman. Defensively: Starts with a balanced setup; uses prep step while fluid actions to the baseball. Hands are out in front with a clean transfer. Moderate arm circle from a standard 3/4 arm slot. INF - 66 MPH.
