Game Performance

Notes

Comments

6/14/22

Physical: Uber-projectable, frontline starter build at 6-foot-3, 195lbs.

Pitching: RHP. Begins from the left corner of the rubber; quick drop step and maintains pace into stack position; unicorn type release height from H ¾ slot (4.2 feet AVG) that pulls down with riding FB at 88-90 mph. Carries well at times, utilizing an innate front-side block skill set, which allows for some cut on a 75-77 mph CB across the zone. Added a diving 80-82 mph splitter to both sides with fading life. One of the top ceilings in the state.

6/15/21

Physical: Projectable, strong 6-foot-2, 195lb frame with some durability on the bump.

Pitching: RHP - Started off the far left side of the rubber using a short side rocker with pace to the delivery; high leg lift getting to a balanced position and raced down the mound showing good separation at footstrike. Held direction and released smoothly through a high ¾ slot working downhill to the bottom of the zone at 82-85 mph (41% zone rate, 16 inches IVB average, 5.74 foot release height). Countered with a short 72-74 mph CB with good intent and sell out in front, mixing a more confident 74-76 mph SL with hard break off the plate for strikeouts (8+ inches AVG HM, T13 inches HM via Trackman) pounding the zone at a 55% clip. Later flashed a low-spin 77-79 mph CH with some fade to it, though sprayed command at times.

3/06/21

Physical: 6’2 195lb RHP/3B ran a 7.95 laser timed 60 yard dash. Large frame has room to improve speed and quickness to help accompany his natural power.

Offensively: He starts in an upright stance with his feet wide outside of his shoulders. The hands start preloaded by the rear shoulder before firing into the hitting zone on an upward plane.

Defensively: Uses long strides to approach the ball and field in the center of his body. He uses multiple steps after the catch to release the throw to his target. Shows a long arm swing from a high ¾ arm slot.

Pitching: From the windup he uses slow and deliberate movements to generate power down the mound. His arm swing stays compact and short and he pulls down to the catcher. Over exaggerates the follow through to ensure getting on top of the ball and working on a downhill plane.
