Physical: Lean, high-waisted 6-foot, 185lb frame. Projection left; 7.18 runner in the 60.
Offensively: LHH. Open, pre-set stance into the crouch. Utilized a lift and replace stride to a stretched position on time with a barrel tip, initiating the swing through a flat path into the hitting zone. Two-handed finish allowed for a line drive approach during BP while landing a T93 mph bat-exit velocity. Strong top hand presence that lifted for distance to the pull side out over the plate. Put together a couple quality AB’s during gameplay.
Defensively: The outfielder featured a plethora of routes in space, creating depth before working downhill over the ball and fielding off his left. Reached back for an accurate 80 mph throwing arm out of a H ¾ slot (moderate circle).
2/12/22
Physical: 6-foot-0, 185 pounds; Athletic, lean build. 7.2 runner in the 60. Offensively: LHH. Open setup, with feet wide spread; bat positioned at a 45 degree angle. Drops hands on the way back with a slight leg-kick for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing a strong lower half. Showed a slight lift to the ball with a two handed finish. More line drives than flyballs and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 90 MPH via Trackman. Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; walks into ready position while showing choppy feet. Hands are off to the side with a clean transfer. Long arm swing from a standard 3/4 arm slot. OF - 82 MPH.
6/15/21
Physical: Strong/projectable 6-foot, 185lb frame with durability and athleticism carried in the actions. 7.27 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: LHH - Upright, open stance at a narrow start as the hands operated with some rhythm out over the plate. Utilized a barrel pump at the top of the launch, on time with a up/down leg lift stride to initiate through a flat path into the hitting zone. Featured a mostly line drive approach from CF to RCF, staying inside the legs and hitting into a stiff front side at the front of the plate. Good lower half rotation yielding a T88 mph bat-exit velocity per Trackman Baseball as well as a near 340 foot batted ball distance pointing towards obvious doubles power to the gaps.
Defensively: The primary outfielder demonstrated long, lengthy actions in space with down chest angles and a soft glove hand playing smoothly out in front. Made decisions off the bat showing mature reads and showcased an above-average 81 mph arm that showed length in the arm action (H ¾, 81 mph, carry). Able to handle a role at a corner OF position moving forward with natural movements that translate to game action.
2/06/21
Physical: Proportional 6-foot, 175-pound frame with athleticism present. 7.62 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: LHH - Tall, open stance with the barrel waving at head height in the setup; utilized a leg lift stride in order to initiate the hands through a flat, fluid path and into the hitting zone. Generated a mostly middle of the field approach with present loft in the swing (46% fly ball rate), hit the ball deeper than anticipated at times creating backspin and lift to both gaps. When he got extended, the lefty did damage (300 foot max batted ball distance / 86 mph bat-exit velocity) and a high rotational score (16.8 G’s) points to a high power ceiling down the road. A 21.3 mph hand speed should play at the plate vs. velocity, and if he can get the timing foot down in time consistently, has the chance to be dangerous offensively.
Defensively: The primary outfielder arrived at the fielding window on time with a moderately upright approach, fielded off of the left side and was calculated in the left foot timing, whippy high ¾ slot with nice carry and arm speed (82 mph) towards the target.
