In the outfield, his best throw of the day was clocked at 79 mph;displayed sure hands, a twitchy exchange and quick footwork. Showed athletic movements laterally. Showed a high ¾ slot and consistent accuracy to the bag. He recorded a time of 7.78 in the 60-yard dash. On the mound, he showed a consistent arm action and a high ¾ arm angle with lightning arm speed He is a drop-and-drive type pitcher who uses high effort in his delivery. He consistenly threw his curveball 62-64 mph with movement; has some action on his sinking curveball. He threw his fastball 71-73 mph.

2/3/19 - Max FB: 75, FB (74-75), CB (64-66), CH (72)

5-8, 150-pound lefty showed a better ability to repeat his delivery and saw his control improve since last summer.  Short, athletic frame w/ some present lower half strength, projectable, has just scratched the surface of his frame potential.  Pitches from a full wind-up into H ¾ release from the middle of the rubber.  Clean, repeatable delivery.  Learning to consistently stay on his back-side, keep his arm on-time.  Arm works.  FB flashes arm-side run, occasionally straight.  Medium downer CB flashed bite, proper shape.  CH w/ fade and sink.  Around the zone, threw more competitive pitches than we saw last summer, showed ability to keep FB down in the zone.

7/3/18 - Max FB: 79, FB: 73-77, CB: 62-66, CH: 70-72
5-foot-7, 150-pound, LHP flashed an intriguing 3-pitch mix.  Short, athletic frame w/ well-proportioned lean strength.  Projectable.  Pitches from a full wind-up into ¾ to sidearm release from the third base side of the rubber.  Throws slightly across his body.  Clean, repeatable delivery.  Rushes through the balance point at times, can stay strong on his backside and over the rubber a little longer to give his arm time to catch up and not drop his slot.  Straight FB shows occasional short cut.  Medium downer CB w/ proper shape, flashes late bite.  Firm straight CH w/ arm-speed.  Sprayed the zone on this day, has all the tools to be a consistent strike-thrower.  Generated 4 swing and misses on 11 swings.

7/3/18 - Home-1st: 4.97, Position Velocity:  OF-69, Exit Velocity: 80
5-foot-7, 150-pound, LHH showed better arm strength than OF time indicated, was up to 79 on the mound.  Short, athletic frame w/ well-proportioned lean strength.  Projectable.  Offensively, hits w/ a slightly open, slightly crouched stance w/ short hand rhythm into mini leg kick and proper load.  Generates bat speed through the zone.  Learning to get lower half consistently involved, occasionally is along for the ride.  At his best when he is driving line drives to all fields, was slightly pull heavy on this day.  Gap power type w/ projectable pull power.  Defensively, moves well in the OF w/ ability to track the baseball and projectable carry to target arm strength.

1/15/18 - Max FB: 75, FB: 72-74, CB: 65-67, CH: 71-73
5-foot-7, 150-pound, LHP showed repeatable delivery.  Short, athletic frame w/ some present strength.  Pitches from the third base side of the rubber from a full wind-up. Rocker step into leg kick just over belt high w/ some hand movement to even with his neck.  Some back-leg drive into release w/ proper finish.  Front leg driven, can get a little more drive on the back leg to have it drive him forward vs. leading with the front foot.  Good direction w/ easy to repeat delivery.  Mixed in a 4-seam and 2-seam.  2-seam shows arm-side run w/ some sink.  4-seam is straight.  Medium downer CB w/ some looseness, flashes tightness and late break.  CH lacks velo differential, shows occasional fade.  Blends too much with fastball.  Around the zone w/ 3, still learning to command to different corners.

1/15/18 - 60 Time: 8.03, Position Velocity:  OF-82, Exit Velocity: 76
5-foot-7, 150-pound, LHH showed arm strength in the OF.  Short, athletic frame w/ some present strength.  Offensively, hits from a slightly open, slightly crouched stance w/ back shoulder hand location and slightly hunched over.  Thigh high leg kick w/ short hand load.  Flashed the ability to keep body synced up with swing, still learning to repeat swing with lower half and upper half working together.  Pull oriented approach w/ lot of line drives.  Defensively, shows projectable arm strength w/ lower half involved in his throws.  Moves better in OF than 60 time suggests.
