A fastball with hop has a flat approach angle and visually jumps through the zone. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher swing and miss average. Hop+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Sink+
A fastball with sink has low backspin and drops through the strike zone. When thrown down in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher ground ball percentage and lower launch angle. Sink+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Rise+
A fastball with rise has a high percentage of backspin. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher fly ball percentage. Rise+ of 100 is MLB average
Slider
Hammer+
A hammer breaking ball drops vertically with velocity through the zone, or 12-to-6 movement. Hammer+ of 100 is MLB average.

The highest Edge Score within the given year. Edge Score is a comprehensive score that takes the core-six visual skills into account, providing an assessment of an athlete’s overall visual ability.
Lanky 6-foot-2, 175-pound frame with plenty of room to add strength. Defensively Beasley showed solid actions at shortstop. Glove presents out front, clean exchange, and above average arm strength from the left side. Moved well laterally and showed ability to throw from multiple slots. At the plate I got a chance to see two at bats from Beasley, one ending in a single to left field. Beasley has been hot early this year and has displayed some home run power. Starts in a square slightly crouched stance, toe tap load, and lands on line. Level path swing and the barrel stays in the zone through extension. Beasley is one of the more versatile, athletic pieces in a 2025 class that is still growing.

Beasley is 6-1 with a lankier athletic frame that has a lot of projection left to it. He hits from the right side from an open balanced athletic stance, strides on line, smooth load down and back to a slight wrap. Hips rotate completely and he maintains good lower half balance. Hands stay inside, shorter and quick to the ball, slightly uphill line drive swing path with strength at contact point and some extension through the ball, longer limbs create added leverage, showed good approach working gap to gap, some gap power present already with the potential to add more, exit velocity was 86. In the infield, rounds the ball and fields with a wider base and above average hands, works through the ball to a quick clean exchange, throws from a low three-quarters arm slot, short loose arm action, position velocity was 77. On the mound, he throws from a low three-quarters arm slot, long loose quick arm action and some effort to his delivery. Shoulders are uphill and closed, lands closed with a slight fall off finish and some recoil. Fastball was 73-78, with heavy armside run that gets some late depth as well. Curveball was 67-70 with good armspeed and hard downer 10/4 break to it.
