Goode got the start for Hermitage and although he did not establish a great feel for the strike zone he definitely had some intrigue to the arm and actions. Athletic mover on the mound that moved with ease. Short arm circle and threw from a high three-quarter arm slot. The fastball sat 78-80 and touched 81 mph a few times in his short work. Showed a 67-69 mph breaking ball that had bigger 12/6 shape and had above average feel for that pitch. Did not get in many plus counts and did not use it to get ahead of hitters, but it did show some promise down the road. Threw one and third innings and three of his four outs were strikeouts. Interesting athlete to keep an eye on.
