Schaedel is a strong 6-foot-3 athlete with big power at the plate. Early on in his at bats he looked like he was crossed up and guessing at times, but once he settled in a stayed within himself the offensive piece really kicked in. Got tied up on his 2-run homerun to left, which looked like a breaking ball, but is strong enough that mishit balls still have a chance to get out or at worst get through the infield. Had a loud double down the left field line in his final at bat. The offensive piece is legitimate. Schaedel is athletic enough to play corner infield or corner outfield, but I think long term it is 1B/LF/RF. Regardless the bat plays and defense will figure itself out.

PreSeason All-State East
Schaedel is 6-3 with an athletic frame that has strength present and plenty of projection left to it. He is a switch hitter. From the left side, hits from a slightly open balanced athletic stance, short stride on line, short smooth load back to a wrap. Hips rotate completely with some violence and he maintains some lower half balance. Hands stay inside, very quick to the ball, uphill swing path, very strong at contact with extension through the ball, showed a slight pull approach with easy power present. From the right side, hits from a slightly open balanced athletic stance, low leg kick stride on line, smooth load back to a slight wrap. Hips rotate completely with some violence and he maintains good lower half balance. Hands stay inside, very quick to the ball, slightly uphill swing path, strong at contact with some extension through the ball, predominantly pull approach with easy power present to all fields. Best exit velocity was 100. In the outfield, gets body behind the ball and fields through it with soft hands, clean exchange, throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, long loose lightning quick arm action, position velocity was 92. Showed versatility working out in the infield as well. Ran a 6.90 60 yard dash. On the mound, he throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, long loose quick arm action and some effort to his delivery. Drop and drive delivery, shoulders are downhill and closed, lands open with slight a fall off finish and some recoil. Fastball was 83-86, touching 87, with some downward angle and a bit of late hard armside run. Change-up was 77-78 with some armspeed and late armside run to it. Slider was 73-75 good armspeed and sharp 11/5 break. Splitter was 72-73 with good armspeed and hard sharp 12/6 dive to it.

PBR Future Games
Projectable 6-3, 195-pound frame with athleticism and physical tools present. Schaedel turned out a 7.12 at the Future Games and has been as low as a 7.02 at a PBR event. Has the arm strength and athleticism to stay at either corner outfield spot. Is a capable defender at third base, but long term see Schaedel staying in corner outfield or first base where he is a very solid defender. At the plate Schaedel displayed big time power during his workout day. Exit velocity via Trackman was up to 101 mph and had the 10th furthest ball hit via Trackman at 388.93 feet that travelled onto the outfield of the adjoining field. Schaedel has big upside offensively with the power to hit in the middle of the order, as well as offers some positional versatility in the corners.
