Bland is 5-10 with a lankier athletic frame that has plenty of projection left to it. He hits from the right side from a slightly open balanced stance, short stride on line, short load back. Hips rotate completely and he maintains some lower half balance. Hands stay inside, goes straight to the ball, slightly uphill line drive swing path, some extension through the ball, showed a good approach working gap to gap, exit velocity was 79. In the infield, rounds the ball and fields with average hands, works through the ball to a clean exchange, throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, short arm action, position velocity was 71. On the mound, he throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, longer loose quick arm action and some effort to his delivery. Shoulders are uphill and on line, lands open with a fall off finish and some recoil. Fastball was 75-77, with heavy boring action to armside and a bit of depth. Curveball was 65-67 with good armspeed and sharp hard 11/5 break to it. Change-up was 68-70 with good armspeed and some armside run.
