6/23/15 - A switch-hitting, multi-positional athlete, LaRock showed off his elite tools at the ProCase. The Iowa recruit ran a 6.78 60 and was clocked at 90 from the outfield and 87 from shortstop during the workout (Note: At a previous PBR event, he was clocked at 96 from the OF and 91 from SS). Although he has the lateral range and arm strength to play shortstop, he looks more natural in the outfield. Offensively, he is a switch-hitter who generates premium bat speed from both sides of the plate. He maintains balance and repeats his swing from both sides, showing the ability to drive the ball with backspin carry during BP. In game, he finished 1-for-3 with a ground out to shortstop (4.32 from right side) and flyout to left field.

4/10/15 - Iowa commit. Toolsy prospect, can play shortstop and the outfield, looks easier and more natural in the outfield, strong competitor. Showed a big arm across the diamond. Switch-hitter but only hit from the right side. Loose athletic hands with high level bat speed, showed gap power. Very intriguing prospect with raw tools. Also saw him on the mound, quick arm action, topped at 88 mph in the first, sat mostly 83-85 throughout his outing, fastball has arm side run. Breaking ball ranged 64-72 mph, more lateral action when harder.

3/15/15- Iowa commit. 5-foot-11, 170-pound switch-hitting athlete, lean build with strength. Raw, plus potential toolsy prospect, showing continued improvements and polish. Showed plus arm strength at 96 mph from the outfield, 91 mph across the infield, long high ¾ arm action with carry and accuracy. Looks to project best in the outfield, looks more natural and has foot speed to stick in centerfield. Ran the 60 at 6.76, laser timed. Offensively hits from both sides of the plate, slightly open stance, short stride with good balance, setup mirrors on both sides of the plate. Swing looks short to the baseball, more polished than previously seen, excellent bat speed from both sides. 91 mph exit velocity from the right side, 93 mph exit velocity from the left side. One of the more dynamic prospects in the 2016 class, highly versatile and just starting to hit his stride on realizing potential.

1/26/15 - Verbally commits to Iowa.

7.22.14 - Switch hitting multi-positional player, athletic build with projection, 6-foot, 165-pounds. Defensively showed advanced arm strength from both the outfield and infield. Hands work softly, shows natural athletic action at both positions, arm action is short and loose, 86 mph across the infield. LaRock shows the ability to defend at multiple positions up the middle of the diamond. Offensively hits from both sides, slightly open stance, smooth loading action athletic setup. Hands work loosely, shows the ability to find the barrel, more of a pull side approach from the left side. 89 mph exit velocity from the tee. 6.74 runner in the 60. LaRock is a high level athlete who is clearly a high follow recruit.

9/23/19: Junior, switch-hitting, tooled-up prospect with a tightly wound, athletic, twitchy 6-foot, 185-pound frame. His quick feet and instinctive feel for the game help him patrol center field well, but his big arm is capable of unleashing throws in the upper-90 mph range home, with accuracy. He showed it off in-game, too, when he nailed a runner at the plate. LaRock was one of Madison College’s most productive hitters in 2019 where he hit .329 and slugged .534, with eight doubles, two triples, and six home runs before transferring to Milwaukee this fall. He swings similarly from both sides of the plate, but has a little more pop from the right side. From the left, he swings an even-planed fast bat with a middle-of-the-field approach. He’s a competitive player who is constantly looking to gain an in-game edge.

9/22/18: Sophomore switching hitting athlete, 6-foot, 180-pounds, athletic build, versatile utility type that can play anywhere on the field. 6.79 runner. Arm plays with carry, worked 92 mph from the outfield, feet move well and fluid, athletic actions to play at any outfield or infield position. Switch hitter shows more strength and bat speed from the right side, gap to gap type. Led the team in stolen bases with 15 as a freshman.

10/1/18: 6-foot, 170-pound, high-waisted, loose-bodied, switch-hitting, outfielder. Ran a 6.82 60 to start off the day. Handles the bat from both sides of the plate. Quiet setup, easy swing, maintains balance and looks to control the barrel from both sides of the plate. Flashed, smoother swing from the left-side of the plate. Registered 23 RBI and 15 stolen bases last spring. Defensively, worked out on the infield and in the outfield, profiles best in the outfield. Steady actions and a loose, strong arm from the outfield.
